Maryland is not exactly a poor rebounding team. They came into the game 68th in the nation in rebounding per game with a 41.3 rpg average. They were also 46th in rebounding margin with a 7.9 margin. That's not chopped liver. Of course South Carolina and Tennessee are 14th and 1st (45.4 and 48.5 rpg) and 2nd and 3rd (17.9 and 15.9), respectively. Today TN got 62 boards against GA State, and SC got 61 off of MD, so they won't be going anywhere in those national rankings....

The trickster told the Lady Vol regular "You and your team are unworthy"
The LV regular replied, "No, the team is gritty and motivated."
The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, so they approached the Wizard of Wisdom As they approached the WoW on her throne, the trickster started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the LV team and board members are unworthy?"

The WoW replied: "If you believe it is true ,the LV team and board members are unworthy”

The trickster rushed forward and continued: ′′The Lady Vol boarders disagrees with me, contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him."

The WoW declared: “The Lady Vol boarders will be punished with three days of not being on the Vol Nation board.”

The trickster jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating ′′The LV team and boarders are unworthy."

The LV regular said to the WoW "Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the Lady Vol team is quality, plays with class and grit and we boarders are committed to our team"
The WOW replied, ′′You've known and seen that the LV team plays with class and grit"

The LV regular asked, ′′So why do you punish me?"
The WOW replied, "That has nothing to do with the question of the worthiness of the LV team or boarders The punishment is because it is degrading for an, intelligent person like you to waste time arguing with an ass, and on top of that, you came and bothered me with that question just to validate something you already knew was true!"

Doesn’t really matter but I find it annoying that they won’t post the Lady Vols. They very begrudgingly make posts about us if people comment enough about our players accomplishments or point out that we had a big win or an upset. Otherwise they post all kinds of great content. Just not sure why the Lady Vols get no love.

Maria is on this board… I too was on The SummiTT when I was in like the 8th grade craving news on my Lady Vols however when it became a paid site and I noticed there were “issues” with the moderating of the board.. I actually disconnected a bit from the team because as a millennial.. they lost me for a while. That also could be a reason for the slippage in TN social media fan presence(though us winning has Twitter buzzing and I love it).. but outside of that I don’t find Maria to be an issue.. at least not mine so 🤷🏿‍♂️ lol

there are many people who claim to have inside sources or know people close to the team.. she’s one that just happens to also do some journalism and is a true fan and communicates with others fans on message boards and such

I've known Maria for years and have always found her knowledgeable and informed. I, too, spent time on the Summitt, but left after they went behind a paywall, so I can't speak as to how it is currently moderated. But, based on some of the comments on this board, I must say that I understand how a certain segment of the posters here would be unhappy with the moderation. That segment might also include the people who want to suggest that they know, or knew, Pat's feelings toward Maria as well as that of the current staff. j/s

I don’t dislike Maria by any means. She loves the Lady Vols as much as the rest of us.

She can get quite preachy and self righteous, almost to the point of acting or believe she’s some sort of spokes person for the program. Which could not be further from the truth.

During the Holly years she rubbed a lot of posters on her board the wrong way because she would not allow ANY criticism of the coaching or play. Even when it was well past warranted.
