Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

As a follow-up (because I know everyone is on the edge of their seats…)

Argos win a close one this afternoon in Billings, knocking off Rocky 57-55. Three time Argos AA Emilee Maldonado led all scorers with 16. This puts both teams at 5-1 in Frontier Conference play and tied for the top spot in the standings.

Next up, the Argos will play against MSU Northern in Havre on Thursday. The Argos took down the Skylights in Great Falls in their first meeting of the season, 74-48.

(This is what happens when folks say there are only UConn and SC fans hanging around in here… :p)

They just lov us

In other news after her defeat at Oregon the ever classy Adia Barnes flipped the bird to Oregon Coach Graves after he waved to her

Oh that is rich. I am trying to find a video or photo of this - is there anywhere to see it? Having more evidence of double-bird Barnes striking again would be funny.

I did not watch the game and have mot seen any photographic evidence but many Oregon fans were calling her out that she had to put out a public apology

Just so. I saw some people saying they saw it on the Oregon broadcast (whatever that was, maybe some stream separate from the others?). Not surprised though. She's shown emotional, petulant behavior before, so it doesn't surprise me if she did it again.

I was in full support when she did it vs UConn but it’s becoming repetitive behavior and recruit are eating it up🙄

I like it. It gives the program an identity and I’m sure the coaches know she’s joking. I’d rather a coach have a personality (even if it offends some) than no personality at all.

Offends? She flipped off the general direction of the Oregon bench after the game and then spent the post-game presser saying her team was going to get "homered" in a lot of places like it did during the Oregon game. That's childish. I can understand wanting coaches to show some style out there, but like that? *shrug* Whooo-kaaay.

And I don't think anyone thinks she's joking. I am confident she knows she isn't joking.
