Arizona has been overrated all season IMO. They had a great run last season but that was on the back of McDonald. They do not have talented enough offensive players to make a run like they did last season.

We have to win at least one game in the SEC tournament and we are for sure a 4 seed. Maybe even a 3. Them losing is definitely big for us!

0.4 on the clock. Vandy ball down 1. Could be interesting here. Sad to hear about Smith. They won’t win their next game without her. She was their engine so if she’s done so are they IMO.

It has been shocking to me to see how poorly Tina Thompson's teams have played. I didn't expect her to win championships right away or anything, but I did expect her teams to be somewhat competitive. I truly wonder what went down there.

I remember Parker saying many years ago that when she arrived in L.A. that TT taught her some moves that immediately improved her game, so I assumed she'd be a decent teacher.

Was she just a terrible manager in general, or just a poor motivator? Did she hire the wrong support staff? Did she even like coaching enough to spend the time in the film room thoroughly scouting opponents? Was coaching high enough a priority in her life that she was expending enough effort on recruiting?

I really was pulling for her, and am disappointed things didn't work out.

Yes they have had trouble closing games all season. They took quite a few leads into 4th quarters and blew them.

She seems to get tight if they are up late in the game and her team responds in kind. A poster earlier today was saying how calm she seemed but I don’t pick that up at all. She seems very anxious to me. She had lamented about their inability to close games in pressers all season.

I agree but to be fair they’re in a similar to boat to us having lost Cate Reese (until…?), their leading scorer and rebounder, and they seem to be really struggling to find offense without her.

I’ll agree, they have some really talented players though. She loaded up from the portal but underutilized them all season. Compared to what we had coming off the bench they are Cherry. Lauren Ware should be a better rebounder than she is.

Chavez is a talented player. Not sure if she had injuries she was playing through this year or what, but her minutes were down and her production was down. Koi Love is another player who can fill it up but hasn’t been used well there. She is a great scorer and could fill some of the scoring void Reese left. Only played 15 minutes today and didn’t impact the game.

She’s counting on Thomas to score but it’s not natural for her. Never has been and never will be. Same with Bendu Yeaney. Really good defenders and hustlers, but little offensive game.

That Number 3 seed is still up for Grabs. Oklahoma really struggled to get past Oklahoma State last night and with Arizona going out in the Quarterfinals of the Pac 12 we just need to win a couple of games.

I read an article a while ago that explained that some great athletes can't coach the less than great. They have a fundamental misunderstanding of why a less than great player can't make the plays that were normal to the great player. Instead of designing a system for their players, they don't understand why their players can't succeed in their system. It's a system over personnel approach that is designed to fail.

Kristy Curry is a very good coach. Already has successfully game planned us, and that was with JH.

I think Joni Taylor is suffering from bad Karma for stealing Gary Blair's COY award last year.
