MIZZOU made a push after the half but they just can’t keep Reese boxed out.

When we play LSU one thing our players and staff need to be pointing out is 3 seconds on Reese.

She’s sneaky about it because she tends to camp in the paint not to post up, but to rebound. She’ll wait until their action is going offside and then sneak into the paint and sometimes stand there for 5-6 seconds waiting for the offside rebound. That’s why she’s so hard to box, by the time the shot goes up she’s been standing right below the rim for several seconds and you can’t move her. She’s already got the board by the time you’re boxing her out and you foul her.

Reese puts me in the mind of Aja Wilson. They play very similar games to me.

Similar yes, both hammer the glass and finish really well on the follow. Aja has more of a post up game than Angel for sure though. Reese is definitely not as comfortable with her back to the basket.

She’d much rather catch and square than make a move from her back. If you bring a double quick you can tie her up on that as much as you want. Force her to do something else.

so right, I am not sure why SC seems to always start so slow, it’s kinda weird, but they dropped a huge hammer in the 4th. Raven had a coming out party, hopefully her shooting woes are a thing of the past, she was perfect tonight and was dishing assists like a pro

I’m not sure how SC or UT will fare against Uconn this year, SC has to play up there and the LV’s get them at home. However…..and it’s a huge however from this SC fan, from SC’s point of view I think because the game is there and Azzi will be fully back by then the outcome is uncertain. Because Uconn will play at UT I think there is a little uncertainty also there although I would expect Uconn to win a close game at this point, but if Jordy is on her game UT can win, there is little doubt Jax will deliver, has there been a more consistent player this year than Jax? My lord that girl can shoot the rock and she needs no help to get her shot. She and Jordy are likely top 5 draft picks, what more could a team ask for to build around? UT could beat any team with those two firing on all cylinders, it’s not rocket science.

I agree they can be beaten on any given night. Right now SC is seeing nothing but zone and has yet to really figure it out. ? But i do think R. Johnson is starting to get her game back and trusting her knee more. When she was on the floor SC you can see was a totally different team and pulled away.

Buffs play at Stanford soon. Colorado should be ranked soon. So that would be 7 ranked teams UT has played with LSU and UCONN upcoming, possibly Ole Miss.
