I stopped watching that game because of the Oregon’s post’s horrible flopping that resulted in two offensive fouls against McCowan. I thought the refs were horrible that game.Bibby is a better outside shooter than any of the graduated starters from last year, but she's just one person. Oregon made sure that someone was chasing her around the court all night. The problem is Holmes and her lack of perimeter shooting. Oregon left her open all night. At the same time, it's hard to keep her off the court because she's an outstanding playmaker. Her backup is a greater scoring threat, bit not as good at running the offense, so there's no easy answer.
Having said that, I don't think anyone touches them in the SEC. Losing to Oregon on the road isn't the worst of fates, considering Ionescu is one of the frontrunners for NPOY and Hebard is an outstanding, athletic post. They matched up well athletically with MSST. I don't think Tennessee can do the same. McCowan will eat up Tennessee's posts, so the only way they can win is if their guards are shooting lights out. IMO, of course. Tennessee desperately needs one of their inside players to become a consistent offensive threat.
She’ll definitely last, she’s great defensively and she isn’t slow and with the size continuing to grow in the leage (look at the number of 6’6” to 6’8” women in the league) she’ll last if she puts in the workIf I'm ranking top 5 post, I will not count Mccowan at all. I guarantee that she would not last in WNBA.
Ionescu goes first if she comes out but I don’t think it will be to Vegas, Brown is more of Bill Type in skill but McCowen is more of his type in demeanor, should be interestingMcCowan or Brown? Who do you think would be selected first in the draft? Ducks & State game Antonelli said Ionescu would be selected as #1. At first I was scratching my head but who really knows almost a toss up.

Ionescu is eligible to declare for the ‘19 WNBA Draft because she turns 22 the same year of the draft - she just turned 21 on 12/6. So she’s mulling that over. Kelsey Plum had the same decision to make after her junior year and chose to return to UW.Ionescu is only a junior, she'll be selected first her year. I believe McCowan will go first this season if Brown doesn't start playing better. Last season I would have said Brown, but she has been lackluster all around so far.
If key transferred to a different high school she probably would not be eligible until January. Hopefully she is not hurt again.

The scheme of starters playing for 40 minutes has a tremendous benefit of team cohesion on offense and defense. the only teams that can do this are teams that don't foul much and are in good physical condition, aka UConn and a few others. I am not saying that player substitution is unwise but it must be done in a judicious manner. Team cohesion suffers if this is not the case.Uconn won by 10 at no. 14 Cal. Uconn only used 1 reserve for 2 minutes.
I don’t know if it was already mentioned on here but Rellah Boothe signed with MTSU as well. She is out with an ACL injury but she and Hayes may give them some fire power in the future.
