I’m glad Stanford won. It increases the win value if the Lady Vols take the road win. Still not convinced Baylor is a top 5 team yet. Same for Miss St, ND and Louisville. I think the field is wide open and it will come down to who improves the most between now and March.

I think you’re right, seeing lots of teams knock each other off this year. Texas A&M beat Oregon State last night. Going to be an interesting year. I’m glad Stanford won as well, definitely increases the win value if were able to pull one off. Baylor didn’t show up to play. Credit Stanfords defensive game plan, they didn’t allow Baylor to operate how they wanted to.

The game with Stanford will be determined if you can take them out of their three point shooting. They can shoot the three don't need much of an opening and they are going to fire up as many as you allow. I don't see a lot of athleticism on their team Dotson, their point guard, and to a lesser extent Smith and Fingall. No way they beat Baylor if they are not as flat as a pancake both defensively and offensively. A lot of people on here talk about coaching and one thing I believe after watching Baylor is that they are poorly coached. Very impatient on offense even though they have the big girl inside and they love to settle for jump shots. Stanford in this game was doing two things shooting the three and if you happened to cut that off effectively then they would drive to the basket. They were far more inefficient driving to the basket. Playing on their home floor they seemed to be getting a lot of favorable calls which I hope is what happens for us on our home floor. Actual physical talent we beat them by a mile, but with basketball skills and shooting skills from the perimeter as good as I have seen at least in the game yesterday. The way to beat them is tough physical defense get up in their face force them to try to drive do not give them open threes. Even as bad as Baylor played they still win if they can hold them to seven threes instead of 13. In a way Baylor got a break early as Stanford missed their first seven three attempts then against a very relaxed defense cashed in on 13 of their next 23. Baylor went like 3 of 25 in the second quarter throwing up ugly shot after ugly shot. We have to be defensively alert for forty minutes to beat them if there was ever a team we'll have to never take a defensive possession off this is the team. We need to come out aggressive early and remain in that mode for forty minutes.

We play Stanford at home. I think their win over Baylor still increases the win value. Just like Texas A&M win over Oregon St improves that value of a road win if we there and win. The crazy thing is how much more this win would mean if Stanford wins the PAC10 over Oregon or OSU. They only play each of those teams once while OU and OSU play twice.

I didn't check the schedule. I thought it was an away game all along. Rest holds true. This year I don't see a clear path to the championship for any team. We have just as good odds as anyone else if everyone progresses equally and avoids injury.

I totally agree with you! I just wanted u to know it was a home game Tuesday and it’s on the SEC network if you have that :)

Should be a great game to say the least and I hope the fans in TBA help #SparktheSummitt

It should be a clash of two top 10 teams when the new rankings come out Monday. We should move up by virtue of not playing and OSU losing and I think the win over Baylor will boost Stanford into the top 10.

But in Dawn defense she was behind the line i`m not sure why the ref was pointing at the line. I think it was something she said. As for Cooper i`m not sure this team is a good fit for her ? but then again she is not helping the situation with taking bad shots.

Anyone understand the rankings process? I find it baffling that we beat a top 15 opponent on the road, on their home floor and we didn't move up in the rankings at all (Still at #9). Stanford, who has lost to an un-ranked opponent already in Gonzaga, won by 5 at home over ranked Baylor, and they move up 3 slots to #8? I know we didn't play this week but one would have thought we the losses ahead of us and being unbeaten we would have moved up one space at least.

It`s easy and to be fair we played 7 cup cakes and should have lost to one or almost lost. Also Texas was without there leading scorer and and it was Holmes first game back.

I agree and disagree. They lost their leading scorer but we had KK sitting out that was 10 Pts and 6 rbs a game. Also this was a road game for the LV.

The difference was being that it was a #3 Baylor team. Now I totally think that if they beat Stanford it needs to vault them into the top 5 as MD played one ranked opponent on the road which was #10 SC at the time but we know that they have fallen in the rankings for now.

One way to silence the doubters and that’s win!

On the men’s side #12 UNC beat #4 Gonzaga at UNC. When the rankings came out Gonzaga was # 8 and UNC #9... I dunno

So are we just gonna skip over the fact we haven’t really seen you since you wanted predicted/hoped for/ wished the LV to lose to Texas and they beat them on their own floor ? I know life gets busy and you often say you’re texting and driving (by the way not a good combo) but I am glad to see you’re still kicking!

I thought you disappeared after the win because you didn’t post in that thread anymore after you predicted a loss and it wasn’t. I thought you did something drastic like delete your account because you didn’t come back to talk about that game.

How have you been doing since the win against TX ?

PS- I hope you’re doing well especially since they won. Maybe this is all irrelevant because I missed your post about how they ended up winning the game and the ladies were gutsy for a tough road win... in any case glad to see you back 😁
