I shared my thoughts on that a few pages back in the thread. I see his reason, which is in my mind mostly abou tourney seeding, but I disagree with it.

They keep winning these games while being so young - so I'm not seeing how it affects their seeding. Last years team just wasn't near as talented as any of his other teams. So what if they lose one game to UNC? It's 1 loss. Isn't going to make a big difference.

I agree. Worse case scenario, I would rather hit the tourney as a 2 or 3 seed with losses and the experience of grinding in big games, rather than slide in at a 1 seed and a smaller test sample of elite competition. I don't give a damn about November and December games, it's all about March IMO. But he did it at Memphis, securing #1 seeds with a soft schedule, he knows he can do the same here.

You'd rather be a 2 or a 3 seed?? Geeeez, where in the world do you come up with this stuff? First you predict that outside shooting will be the key to winning the UNC-UK game, which you were horribly wrong, now you want UK as a 2 or 3 seed in March? Why dont you go ahead and hope for an injury..

The #1 seed has a better chance of making the final four. Even statistics say being a 1 seed is much better. Coaches in America are trying to be a 1 seed, but you go against the grain and think they're wrong. Hilarious. Maybe you're right. Maybe you should write Coach K, Roy Williams and Bill Self and explain how they're doing it all wrong.

I have tried many times, but I just can't bring myself to put you on the ignore list where you belong. It's a guilty pleasure, kinda like pulling back a dollar on a string from a homeless guy, it just never gets old. But I guess I'll go ahead and give the guy his dollar, because your act grows tired. Have fun trashing me, while I continue on in a more intelligent world, void and absent of your drivel.

Intelligent world??? hahahahaaa!!! First time I've laughed on here!

Whats next, are you going out on a limb to predict that the winner of the game on Saturday will eventually score more points?

Your theories crack me up. From predicting the UNC-UK game to hoping you'd like to see UK as a 2 or 3 seed in the tourny. Hilarious! You obviously know nothing about basketball. Bowling Green has to have some sort of half-a$$ library....why dont you crank up the RV, finish your budweiser and drive your home over to a place where you can get your edu-mu-cation on. After a few hours of reading one chapter, maybe you could catch a few turtles on the ride back. Yeyeyeyeee....live action!

Thats funny!

If you think the dribble drive is just driving and kicking out, you know nothing.

These kids come from schools where they're just cut loose and allowed to do anything. They've never seen sophisticated zones, full court pressure against 6'8 guys. They're thrown into the biggest program in America and expected to learn how to defend the toughest offenses and taught to defend guys that should be in the NBA. They need time to adjust. Playing Duke, Kansas, UNC, UConn early doesnt help the team.

You balance the floor. It's a 4 out 1 post offense. It seems to have about 1 or 2 rules. If a wing drives toward the baseline, the man in the corner goes backdoor. There's an occasional ball screen on a ball reversal. It seems to me that it's an organized freelance that is predicated on keeping the floor balanced.

You're good.

Stats speak for themselves, though. Freshman cant just walk into a higher program and learn how to play at a near NBA level right off the bat. How to recognize a variable of zones and how to play defense against screens, pick and rolls, etc. All while the entire country watches with 24 thousand watching in person. Its a matter of opinion, on whether to add even more big dogs to an already heavy hitter schedule, or let the young ones learn with inferior comp. Cal knows more than you and I, so I'll take his word. From the time he walked in the door at UK he said he'd take talent over experience any day. So far he's right. And the UNC-UK game was just another example.

That is exactly what it is. Load up a team with superior athletes at key positions, and give them space to make a play. Go to the rim, draw, dish and crash the offensive boards.

Nothing wrong with that, either. It works. But, this guy acting like it's so difficult to grasp is just funny.
