I have been a Vols fan for over 30 years and I have reached a really sad point. For me, there is nothing even remotely enjoyable about this program anymore. For several years now, it's just a gut wrenching kick to the nuts week in, week out. Yes, we beat USCe this year and once with Kiffin, but nothing but utter agony and disappointment has followed.

There used to be a time when being a UT fan was fun. Win or lose, we ALWAYS had a shot to win. Now, we can't even look to Vandy as a win.

By all means, there will be those on this board that will flame me, and that's fine. But I bet there are just as many who have reached this same conclusion. This just isn't fun anymore...

You know actually... it hasn't really been fun for me since 2007, and that season had some really low moments too.

But Tennessee football is part of me and I'm loyal to a fault.

Sadly, many are agreeing with you.

This is the first time in my long life that I have heard and seen ads by ut to sell football tickets.

This is what ole miss fans went through in the late 60s and 70s

Whether its fun or not the Vols need some support. Coming off a crazy last couple years and Butch hasn't gotten his classes. Team has talent problems all over the field. Will be a lot better with some depth.

Me too, but I need something that helps with stress. I have a very stressful career and UT football was always my release. Now, it just compounds it.

It's suck for a long time. I'm waiting for the good times to come back. I really want CBJ to do it. Right now, he hasn't showed me anything except he can recruit a crap ton of 3 stars and a few other higher rated guys.

The battered Vol fan in me just wants to hang up the orange and say forget it. The team hasn't done any for the fans so why should we support them.

BUT, I'm a VFL and I'm willing to let Butch have his time.

Ivee stuck with UT through thick and thin and I'm honestly starting to become indifferent to what they do. They're sstill my team but I don't know if its even worth the 3 hours every weekend to watch them when they screw themselves out of games on what seems like a weekly basis..

You could have criticized CBJ in any way, and yet you chose the worst way. His recruiting class is fine.

I agree! Seriously thinking about taking some time off as a UT fan for a while. Not saying I won't pull for them anymore but I think it has become a detriment to my health to "care" so much about this program the way I have! I have been too emotionally invested for too long! I may have to step away for a while!

I feel as if we are cursed. This was just a devastating loss. We needed this win badly and to lose the way we did was just deflating. I honestly feel sick at my stomach.

It's not fun. I dread gameday, then I really dread the total humiliation that follows. We are the laughingstock of the SEC. There is no reason a team with this level of resources plays this wretchedly.

I ve finally realized that this is not the proud TN program I grew up watching and cheering for. Its so sad to see how far our program has dropped.

There are plenty of other things to do on a Saturday that are more enjoyable than subjecting oneself to what has become Tennessee athletics in general. If you're going to stick around, you better work on your who cares attitude.

It's not fun for me. I can't remember having a lot of fun watching UT football, though. Senior in high school and too young to remember 1998. My most vivid memories are the Kiffin and Dooley regimes.

Agree 100%. I spent 6 years in Knoxville and got two degrees. Some of the best times were spent at games or afterwards. I have watched UT football since the early 80's and never could I have imaged that TN would have 4 losing seasons in a row!

I blame Hamilton .. and for more than just the football program. Bad hires ... sort of a sleazebag ... really took the luster off a lot of our programs.

His recruiting class doesn't make his sum of work good enough. He's bad. Ya kids are having fun and dancing and crap during tv timeouts. But I drove my ass up here for my freaking bachelors party with 4 friends that've never been to a ut game and tonight happened. It'a sorry if you don't want to hear me wine.

I agree with you, just think that something other than his recruiting should have been criticized.
