Not fun anymore...

This just in, losing isn't fun

With all due respect, this is more than just losing. It's about getting humiliated on a weekly basis and never being able to enjoy a game anymore. Nothing but anger and frustration is left.

In the last month I've gone from elation, to angry, and now I'm back to a state of apathy. There's one game left, and I honestly couldn't care less.

For me I used to get so upset about every lose and I would always make sure I am home always home to watch every game now I coach a youth football team where I miss a lot of the games and I don't even care much when they lose its become so normal

It's not fun for me. I can't remember having a lot of fun watching UT football, though. Senior in high school and too young to remember 1998. My most vivid memories are the Kiffin and Dooley regimes.

It's really fans like you that I feel sorry for. You missed some amazing times when UT was a contender every week, with athletes all over the field. Yes we had some disappointments, but we always had a shot and were a fun program to watch. Tailgates were legendary and upbeat and I looked forward to every game.

There are plenty of other things to do on a Saturday that are more enjoyable than subjecting oneself to what has become Tennessee athletics in general. If you're going to stick around, you better work on your who cares attitude.

Ill work on it when someone on the offensive side of the ball works on theirs

I was just accepted to UT this week, so I'm hoping that a couple years from now we'll be on the rise and it'll be fun to be a part of everything.

I don't write much on this site but I read it daily. I agree with everything said and I know its bad when I am not hurting right now.

It's just bad football, maybe it's with bad football players or maybe it's just bad coaching. Not sure at this point but I will say Jones will not be here after the 15 season. Very, very bad coaching staff!

Congrats and I hope you do get to see us get back to glory.

I can remember during the Battle era it got to where no one cared either....

This team is bad it isn't fun to watch anymore and I don't really care who's fault it is anymore ....

I'm willing to see this out for a few more years ...but when I see a dang Vandy lineman push a Vol D line man around like a sissy it truly makes me shake my head...

I have been a Vols fan for over 30 years and I have reached a really sad point. For me, there is nothing even remotely enjoyable about this program anymore. And to prove that I am right I have had over 50 Likes to this post

You win. Vol fans who must associate themselves with a winning team are incapable of enjoying Vol football. the atmosphere, the palace of a stadium, the history...

:loco:

all total BS. Win or nothing.

Their pitiful lives are defined by Volunteer football wins

I'm with you.

You sick ****tard.

You know actually... it hasn't really been fun for me since 2007, and that season had some really low moments too.

But Tennessee football is part of me and I'm loyal to a fault.

I was going to post the dame thing. There's been some fun moments but 2007 was the last fun season. And that season included blow out losses to Bama and Florida.

Those were the days....I used to be so damn excited for gameday.

Hell it's almost like a chore now, I've just done it so long...."Well it's Saturday, let's sit through this ****show then get back to yardwork"

It's not as simple as that. We have become a program that has adopted a CULTURE of losing! It's not just one game or one season anymore! It's year after year after year!

Yep this is the problem. We have people that have allowed just getting to a bowl game as the standard for good coaching and players that are good at coasting instead of working their butts off to improve. We are letting these young men down if we allow them to quit on themselves. I remember watching Peyton Manning talking to all the players one season telling them to come play a pick up game in the offseason. Coaches should be making these players improve and these players should have better than a basic understanding of the play book. I don't care how many plays there are in the play book, you should be able to learn every play in the play book by now. Their game plans should be to allow these player to maximize their skills and show off what they can do. It annoys me to watch Tennessee Football to be constantly underachieving as a fan.
