Tennessee has to find some playmakers on offense. Losing SEC PoY and its IOL will hurt more than many think.

Staff hasnt done anything to bring in WR to stretch field, in porthole, or get G help. Its asking a lot for this offense to win in Gainesville.

Billy might be fired by the time we play them.

They could lose @ LSU, @ Miami, vs Texas, @ Texas A&M and will likely lose to Georgia again.

At 5 losses coming into November could be enough for them to pull the plug before they even face us.
"They could lose @ LSU, @ Miami, vs Texas, @ Texas A&M and will likely lose to Georgia again."--- 3-2. Miami isn't beating Uf in 25. I think they beat Uga too.

Lagway is good....one thing to remember is that Nico's dad is rumitred to have had a meeting with CJH about outting better pieces around Nico, and apparently CJH was very clear on his commitment to do so. We gotta recruit from that portal, its very simple.

The truth is that it will be game 11. So much can and will happen between now and then. Some us might even have the Christmas decorations back up that we just took down . The good news for us is that even though the game will be down there, they will be playing UGA, @ Uk , @ Ole Miss the 3 weeks before playing us. We will play NM State after a bye week before the Gators. We should be well rested and possibly have more to play for than them comparing the 2 schedules. We could have 2 losses or less and Florida could be in a situation similar to this season given their tough schedule .

To me there’s some things working in our favor considering we don’t even know what our roster is for Spring practice let alone for next November .
That's what Auburn thought when they lost 31-10

The fact that they won 8 games last year is scary. UF has a lot of talent and they are starting to recruit better. I don’t know. I do know one thing. If we actually do win in the swamp, it will be one of the biggest program wins in a long time. Maybe even bigger than beating Bama in 2022.
Looking at their schedule, I think they'd almost certainly be top5 at 9-1 and top10 at 8-2, but those scenarios are both unlikely.

Beating an 8-2 top10 lizard squad would certainly be a benchmark road win for Heupel, but I'd rate it short of the 22 bama win. Beating a 9-1 team would still depend on other circumstances before you could elevate it above the 22 bama win. Beating a top5 bama with Saban & ending the streak was huge. We both have a lot of uncertainties at this point. It could be a monumental game with playoff implications for both of us. Or, it could be a battle of lowered expectations between 6/7 win teams.

I'd settle for getting lucky and driving in the final nail against underachieving 4-6 lizards to ruin their season.

Yeah that’s what most said about this past year. Napier won’t make it to the end of the year. You might want to prepare yourself for the fact that Napier has righted the ship and unfortunately is trending up. Especially HS recruiting.

Good young QB coming back with more experience.
A defense that turned it around at the end of the year when they simplified their scheme.
a team that never quit on their coach.
its @ the swamp.
they have been bringing in loads of talent and Napier started playing more of the young guys at the end of the year when they started looking better.

if it was any other uniform and logo, I would give us a decent chance to win. because its Florida I will only think we can win about 5 minutes after the clock hits triple zeros in the 4th quarter with us ahead about 3 touchdowns.

Not getting this narrative

People are complaining that we're not recruiting well enough, esp after the Ohio State game, but flarada is recruiting at the same level as we are now

We are 2-2 vs FLA since Heup has been here. In those two wins against a very mediocre FLA team both years, if not down right bad, it was still a struggle to even win those. I don’t get the over exuberance every year to where we think we can count it as an automatic win. They’ve pretty much owned us for 30 yrs. I doubt we win at The Swamp next year. We never seem to show up down there regardless of coach or team.

At this point, I have no reason to put faith in Heupel on the road especially in hostile environments.
Why do a few of us insist that going on the road is a problem for Heupel?

You win some on the road against good competition, and you lose some. Remember LSU last year? A win. Florida two years ago? A loss. Oklahoma this year? A win. Arkansas? A loss. It happens.

Going on the road in the SEC is just hard.

So stop imagining curses or critical weaknesses or anything like that.

We were 2-3 on the road this season. 1-3 the season before. 3-2 the season before that. Together, 6-8 in true road games over the past three years. Including some mighty good teams in the mix.

That's not horrible, not in the SEC. Not yet championship caliber, but getting there. Bit by bit.

Go Vols!

I don't fear Florida. I loathe them, dislike them, and think the majority of their fanbase is disgusting. My worst in person sporting event memories come from the Swamp, both on and off the field.

I just accept we were never win in Gainesville. If we do, thats great, but I will never anticipate a win in that place.

The only times I have seen physical altercations at sporting events all involved Florida fans. I have met Gumps, Aggies, and even Ducks, but Gators are the only fans that I have seen get into fist fights (3 times over 35 years of being a fan). The whole fanbase needs to grow up and get clean.

The last time we beat Florida in the swamp Myspace had just launched. YouTube and Facebook didn't exist. I was in my early 20s and just got married. My oldest child who turned 21 last year was learning how to walk. Hell most of our roster wasn't even born the last time we drained the swamp. I still remember Caseys Hail Mary to James Banks going into the half. One of my favorite memories.

Florida is to us what we are to CanTurkey. They always seem to have our number. I am thrilled it's late in the year though. I have always hated playing them early. That loss always sours the season for me. Maybe luck will finally be on our side like it was in Knoxville this season. Beating them the way they usually beat us gave me some hope that the jinx is finally broken

UF has alot of momentum going into next season, alot of it hinging on the team's play around DJ Lagway. But I think their hype train will hit a few roadbumps once Lagway is officially the #1 starter. Once DCs study his tape in the offseason, I think they will find a way to limit his effectiveness. He only threw 12 TDs to 9 INTs.

But even then, I do think it will be a tossup game, especially if the game is at night. Its simply hard winning on the road, especially against an arch rival. The passing game will have to take significant steps forward for me to feel any sort of comfidence in that game.
