Some people forget that every team we play will have full tape on what we have done.
That is why you do what you need to do to get a win.
6-6 at the end of the season is 6 wins and 6 losses.
If you win by 20ppg and lose by 5ppg it means just as much as winning by 5ppg and losing by 20ppg.
Of course, we'd all rather have the first over the last but at this point we'd take either bracket.
That's why you don't play your hand. I'd imagine Bajakian is already studying the UGA game film against Clemson to craft a gameplan as well as USC against TAMU.
31 point win versus a 6 point win versus a 60 point win are all the same in the end. We're not really fighting for pole position where beating the spread/etc matter. We're just fighting to get to a bowl game. That's it.
This belly grubbing over "we didn't embarrass them" is about the most asinine of complaints. We were predicted by many to lose and by everyone else to barely win. We dominated the USU game and the yardage differential and score supports that. Complaining about a 31 point win? After the last 6 years we have had?
With that said I am concerned about our OL in run blocking and specifically our run game. I think in time Worley will settle in and start hitting those deep routes. Remember how bad he was against WKU and Austin Peay? He's worlds ahead of where he was then. He'll settle down and hit those passes. We probably left 14 points on the field due to missed passes... specifically missing Malone who had completely ditched his coverage.
I think our OL will get ironed out but we can't take any injuries. That's a major concern. Thanks, Dooley.
