Now imagine how screwed we are should China decide to go to war with us or our allies. Globalists (including those in government) should be strung up for forcing our dependency on strategic and other necessary products - things that were once produced in this country.

It’s not a good thing because we have way too many people that will look to the federal government to fix it.

The government had a big hand in breaking it. They hamstrung corporations but not unions with antitrust rules (tilted the playing field) that allowed escalation of wages and overall inflation - this has gone on for decades. Then there are the trade agreements that we never seem to enforce when the other country cheats resulting in trade imbalances. Then there are ideas from the bright boys in DC about opening trade with countries like China with economies controlled and coordinated by a communist party ... not to mention how the CCP manipulates currency and trade.
