I don't think we are a lock if we lose our next two games and end the season at 18-14 and lose 7 our of our last 10 games. We really wouldn't deserve to be in the tournament. With Big Baby out against UK I don't like our chances for the next game. We looked lost defending the post in the second half against USCe tonight and you know Calipari is going to take advantage of that a lot more than USCe coach.
When we beat Kentucky and win the SEC tourney- what would be our best possible seed?
I think we will be a 1 seed in the NIT that gets bounced first round or be a 9+ seed that goes to the sweet 16. Nothing but highs and lows with this team

Not the case at all. A 17-14 team going into the SEC tournament would've been a lock? No way.
They still may need to win a game, IMO. They lose 2 in a row, then 18-14 could very well be a coinflip, especially if a few unexpected teams get automatic bids.
Have you seen the back of the bubble? Would you put Memphis or someone similar to them in over us?
I cant imagine any bracket having Memphis in period...some do but they have NO arguement from ANY angle to get in....What? 5 losses by average of 19 points each..something like that....and a couple of other loses to very insignificant programs........and it gets worse from there....
RPI & SOS for SEC teams:
Florida-----------RPI, 11; SOS 7
Kentucky--------RPI, 12; SOS 10
Vandy-----------RPI, 24; SOS 19
Tennessee------RPI, 33; SOS 3
UGA-------------RPI, 37; SOS 34
Ole Miss---------RPI, 83; SOS 72
Alabama---------RPI, 88; SOS 130
If the predictions that 5 SEC teams go to the NCAAT hold, then as of now, UT is one of them. It helps UT if a favorite, Florida or Kentucky, wins the SEC tournament. If we lose in the 1st round, and someone like Miss St or Ole Miss wins the tournament, we could get bumped out.
So like I was saying, if we don't win another game I still don't think we're a lock. Just as I suspected, we lost to Kentucky at home today, and now we draw Arkansas in the first round of the SEC tourney, a completely lose-able game. We already lost to them in our only matchup. If we bow out in the first round, I think we are an absolute bubble team. 18-14 ain't that impressive kids. Flame me all you want, but I'm just being realistic here. We need to get to 19 wins.
I hope and think we have a good shot to get in still, but to call us a lock is silly.
