So what if a QB does not sign in 2010???
Nick Stephens was the 11th ranked qb the year he signed. With the proper coaching.....he may be pretty good.

The juco Lamasion may be really good and Rozier may be Weinkesque?????

Lets not jump off bridges here. Scroggins may be great...who knows. But I do know that if he is the #4 ranked QB in this class, he would be # 25 in the 2011 class.

It looks like people are more worried about saving face, than signing the RIGHT guy!

Seriously, we're headed for the FCS/Division II. Bail while you can, these two QB's are the only way to save us. Maybe the OVC will kick Tennessee State out and we can go play there.

But I guarantee if we sign Jesse Scroggins, we'll win a national championship. Yep, that's it.

Crompton this year, Stephens next year, then it will be even more enticing for QB's in the class of 2011.

not signing a 2010 QB could lead to a disaster
look how many may's are in that situation you thought up

just add the word "not" after all of those and see how you like it. its just as likely to end up like that

and lolz @ weinkesque. you think rozier may be a heisman winner and national champion? yeah, i agree, we would be alright if that happens. but it wont

some see a glass half full....others see it half empty.

You are correct...if none of those qb's amount to anything...it will be a long couple years. but if ONE does pan out.....it could (did not say may) be great!

I think Kiffin knows who his QB recruit will be next year. I think he has one already signed. Kiffin is a smart cookie. I guarantee you he has one already to sign to us. Kiffin is way ahead of the game. You can count on that. Go Vols! I have 100% confidence in Coach Kiffin & co. They will pull something out! always!:rock:

Um, not that it's just impossible.....but you're talking about we'd have a commitment from someone who may or may not be eligible to drive a vehicle by themselves right now.

No,No..i was just saying that i think Kiffin has something up his sleve. Im guessing that he knows who is QB will be and "MAYBE" he has him goin to sign soon. Im hoping at least. We get a elite Qb and that equals to nasty recievers!

I want Scroggins as mch as anyone but has any of you really taken a look at where the Top QB's are going?

Heaps (Mormon) - BYU
Hendrix (Catholic) - ND
Bell (Longtime Sooner fan) - OU
Paul Jones (From Pa) - Penn State
Conner Wood (From TX) - Texas
Scroggins (20 miles north of LA) - You guys thik he's going to USC

All of these kids have some sort of tie to the programs they are going to. Until this program become relevant again, it may take a awhile to get a top tier QB.

Now all that said, I think Scroggins comes to Tennessee. He seems very excited about UT and USC, but in the end he's a Vol

Brunetti wasn't a demand, in the beginning we didn't recruit him hard and WVU did, then all of a sudden we decide we want him and he was basically saying thanks but no thanks.

I really think we will sign an elite QB. Dont know who yet , of course. Kiffin will push for something he really wants and he should come down with him. I mean really? who wouldnt want the job to run the show for the Univeristy of Tennessee as a freshman? I mean WTF!

Carson, I feel the same way to a point but as someone who travles for business every week. Most people around the country I meet say they have never looked at Tennessee football as a national power.

People often tell me they don't look at us in the same category as USC, Florida, OSU, etc etc. I understand being from Tennessee thats hard to imagine but 9/10 people I meet say these things.

These are verbal commits right? Some of these guys could change their mind possibly? I all this talk about recruits makes me wanna strike up a game of NCAA football 2008 and focus in on recruiting. WHO"S WITH ME?
