Being ranked 10th after two losses is definitely a "time to put up or shut up" statement from the voters in the AP. They'll willing to give Tennessee a little more room, but being competitive with Alabama and winning in Rupp are going to be critical to staying in the top 10-15.
LMAO, could you imagine a Top 25 poll created by the "fans" of the UT basketball team. Holy smokes, that would be glorious. They would short circuit trying to figure out what to do with all these teams that...wait for it...lose games against non-elite teams over the course of a 30 game schedule.
You can get half of that back with a win on Wednesday back to about number five if we could p
Hard to believe we are ranked in the top 10 with 6 losses, 3 of which coming in the last 4 games, all of which to unranked teams. I think people have figured out under ranking us has helped us to play better, so they figured just keep us over ranked so we keep losingBama number 1.
ull it off.
I don’t think Florida will be in the tournament possibly nit 13-12 unless the win the sec tournament I don’t see them getting in
Now that I have had a couple of days to evaluate this Tennessee team that has been smacked around the past couple of weeks, I have come to the conclusion that tomorrow night is the type of game that Barnes will win and shift the narrative of this team. Do I still believe that Bama can come into TBA and win by 10+, yes I do. Do I think the Vols will be motivated to make a statement, yes I do, Do I think Vol Nation needs to schedule a group beer tasting, yes I do!
Go Vols!
One or both could play tomorrow, it is day to day. I really like Mashack's game and hustle, if he develops more offensive skills, he could be a great player for the next couple of years.I think that the status of the JJJ and JP injuries are huge. There’s just too much offense missing with Mashack filling in for them. Maybe if ON has one of his irregular offensive appearances there’s a chance. And Bama is very athletic, so perhaps Mashack’s defense has a big impact.
Yes, their big man is impressive. I wish he was here.Fair enough, though they do have as many Q1 wins as Vols and only 1 Q3 loss (no Q4 losses). The rest of their SEC schedule isn’t very menacing and they have one of the beter big men in the conference; it’ll be interesting to see how their season shakes out.
