But, but, but.....its Volnation. What else are we supposed to do but freak the hell out when we lose a road game, guess we could fire all the coaches, prepare for all the talent to leave in the portal.....

The out of conference record was fools gold. We all fell for it too, me included, because the road win at Illinois was a really good win. However, this team is just not tough enough to do much this year. I think we drop by the end of the year to a 5-7 seed in the tourney, and lose in the 1st or 2nd round. We have no inside scoring presence, very little driving to the basket besides ZZ, and and just let a bunch of short guys from Vandy out tough us on the boards. There is no dog in this team except for ZZ, but he can’t do it alone.

Nah....Nobody else behind us had a good enough win to jump us and/or lost. Kentucky and Marquette lost at home and Kansas has 4 losses.
Houston potentially could jump us but beating W. Virginia and barely getting by UCF probably isn't enough with their 3 losses. Michigan State will probably have to wait on Michigan State/Illinois game before they start getting the hype. If they get that win they'll jump way up.

We may not even move with us losing on the road and Vandy almost imploding at the end of the game/close loss.
We stay at 6 or move to 7.

Having said that, we continue to play how we have so far in the SEC and we won't stay in the top 10 for too much longer.
Very well could loose two games next week.

I've already bet my best friend that Kim Caldwell will get her team to the Final Four before Rick Barnes gets his team there.
This season, our men's team just ain't deep enough to shine at the Big Dance.
