While I wanted to win yesterday, I don’t want to win all our games right now. It’s not realistic to win them all and I want to be playing our best ball in March, not January. This is the time to figure things out, take some lumps and hopefully learn and improve from those lumps.Of course he's near retirement. That some start suggesting it after a tough loss on the road is remarkably stupid. Idiots said the same type things last after early losses to MSU and Texas A&M. It's a fundamental lack of understanding of the game and the marathon season
Most if these guys freaking out arent either.. that's the point. Go look up the final records of National championship teams.Weren’t we ranked #1 for a historic amount earlier this season? What happened to you guys? I get it sucks we lost but why the melt down?
I’m not a big bball fan so genuinely confused.
Yep. Fantastic block.I was thinking the exact same thing as soon as it happened. A little 8-10 foot pull up might have been an easier look than going to the rack, but I think his mind was as much on getting to the line as it was scoring on the drive. Kid made a great defensive play.
Really tough ending for Chaz, who really is learning under fire how tough this league is and what a big step he took coming here. I think he has the right attitude and will become a solid contributor, if not the next DK everyone was hoping for, before this season is done.
I liked the drive but Lanier didn’t position his body well to shield his shot. As crazy as it sounded earlier this year, Gainey is our best shot creator. He finds ways to score the ball. Chaz does well also but in an iso scenario I like Gainey better as he’s better at pulling up for those mid-range jumpers and he’s a better finisher at the rim. Plus, Gainey has played a year and a half of this kind of ball vs half a year. It helps.I was thinking the exact same thing as soon as it happened.
