Okay but how many of those were at Georgia?
Why does that matter? He was a TE coach for 3 years at Miami and had multiple draft picks that he developed. He also landed the #1 TE recruit out of Vegas in Brevin Jordan for Miami. He will be a draft pick too. Hartley has a better resume when it comes to TEs developed and drafted than Nieds does. Some of his quote certainly seems to contradict. We thought his best relationship was with Nieds. Obviously that’s not accurate. It seems Kirby loves to get his high profile recruits to lead us on and play us.

Because the scheme at Georgia is different than it was at Miami when he was there. Those Njoku days he had Brad Kaaya throwing to him in a spread offense that was very TE happy. Meanwhile UGA had a 5 star in Nauta that went undrafted because he averaged like 10 catches a season. UGA will never put our TEs like Miami because Kirby micromanages that offense and restricts the TE usage

First Post.... Long time reader...Posting one time to say this... Look I've read enough the past 2 years to understand one thing... If this kid was not a VOL, AV would have already responded with all the @'s people have pushed his way...... Even when he's predicted a kid to us in the past and it didn't happen, he was never silent like this..... Believe what you want but this kid is a VOL!

Darnell gave it away. Hopefully this gets rid of any lingering doubts. This is from a UGA 24/7 article.

"Coach Hartley coached David Njoku, Chris Herndon, and Brevin Jordan, guys who are in the league who will be in the league," Washington said after that visit in November. "So if he did it with them, why can't he do it with me? I trust him with getting me developed.

"Georgia has always been one of my top schools because they stayed in consistent communication after they offered. I don't have a way of describing Georgia. They have just been there from the start for me."

Compare that with what he said to Rusty

"The vibe of the school and the vibe of the coaches. Ever since they offered, they kept communicating, unlike some schools that offered and then faded away and tried to come back in at the end. I am pretty sure he knew I was coming. We have the best relationship. His past tight ends and the players he has coached, I believe he will develop me the same or probably even better."

He better get used to pushing that sled around in practice...he’s gonna be blocking a lot.
From what I have read, UGA is bringing in at least one offensive coach after SugarBowl. There’s pressure in Athens and among boosters for UGA to open up their offense. Look at the four teams in playoff now - all very multiple in their approach with elite trigger man. Kirby is very stubborn but even he sees the problems with his offense.

You don’t get the receiver haul they got - Rosemy, Burton, Arian Smith and Robinson unless you are selling those kids on something they didn’t see this year in that one dimensional offense.

You think that sounds like Neids?
The relationship part did. Wasn't aware the UGA TE had coached a lot of NFL talent. Seems a lot of the dogma on this one is off if this refers to the UGA TE coach. I see where Zach Evans has all but come out and said he signed with the school that produced Sony Michel so it seems he's going to UGA so that exchange from Washington is a bit more ominous as well.
