Obama and socializing the BCS system

This is a real question and not a joke.

If Obama has congress pass a bill forcing College football to enact a play-off system how will it be handled? Will he decide that each league, even the Ivy leage, deserve to have the same amount of teams placed into the system. Or would he allow the stronger (wealthier) conference like the SEC and Big 12 to have more teams enter the play-off.

Example:

Option one, play-offs take top 2 teams from each conference.

Option two, top 8 teams are placed into play system.

I ask this because he seems to want to regulate everything and has on more than one occasion mentioned changing this system. Question is not how you would handle it but how he would handle it.

Ok, what's your thoughts?

So you're saying that it's harder to run Division 1 football than it is to run the country? Interesting, I'll have to think about that one.

What exactly is he doing wrong? The republicans are blocking everything he's tried so he can't be running us into the ground..
As far as I know he would force the NCAA get involved. Ya know how they have a tourney with bball baseball hockey.plus FCS div II and III football all have an actual championship decided by tournament.

This thread is not about Obama it is how he would handle it. Please stay on topic so it doesn't get deleted. How would he change the BCS system?

While a interesting question but the problem is the political slant that this post will be given. Tennessee is about as red as you can get and Obama could save a 1,000 babies and they still would hate him.

That said someone needs to step in and do something about the BCS.

But in what way would he change it?

Who would be placed in, how would it be structured?

The short answer is, "everything he touches".

And it is a joke to say the Republicans are blocking everything. You must have missed the overwhelming majority in both the House and Senate. He is messing up because he is inept, as in dumber than Jimmy Carter.

This guy doesn't need to be in government, and he sure doesn't need to be involved in decision-making for sports. We already have things screwed up enough.

No one knows that really. I imagine it would be a 1,000 ideas put together and Obama trying to please everyone as best as he can. I am just going by the health care bill over the last year. He has tried to take ideas from all sides in a effort to make every side happy (which hasn't worked).

So I would guess he would do the same, which means it would be stuck in congress for years.

Getting closer to the right track, let the market dictate the BCS. As soon as this contract is expired we will get some sort of playoff.
