Obama and socializing the BCS system

What I am confused about is the OP said he didn't want to make this about Obama but he uses a anti-Obama buzz word in his title.

The short answer is, "everything he touches".

And it is a joke to say the Republicans are blocking everything. You must have missed the overwhelming majority in both the House and Senate. He is messing up because he is inept, as in dumber than Jimmy Carter.

This guy doesn't need to be in government, and he sure doesn't need to be involved in decision-making for sports. We already have things screwed up enough.

See my post above about Obama's problem. Sorry but he is far from inept and to judge a president in such a short time into his term is wrong and what the media loves to do. Look at both Bush's or even Clinton.

Also I thought Bush was very misled but I would never call him dumb. I think Obama is too much a idealist, but he is a very smart man. Of course good chance you might think Palin is smart.

Orange Empire ... how would he structure it though? I think I've picked up on that you don't like him.

Do you think he'd include the ivy league and equal spots for the WAC?

What? Ivy League? Of course not. The problem with the ideal of this thread is Obama would never truly decide the outcome and we have really no idea of what he would do anyway.

Of course he would include every one. That is a silly question.

Now I agree with most of your post on this but this one is absurd. No they would not include every one. I would bet the bank on it and impossible to work. The most you see would be a small playoff (4 to 8 teams) or a +1.

Orange Empire ... you think he'd start the play-offs with every single team?

The NCAAB is thinking about expanding to 90 teams so maybe your not that far off ...

First of all Obama would have a 1,000 person panel to recommend to a sub committee. Once it got to subcommittee it would then be moved up for vote.

By this time....... Obama will be out of office.

He could lead the legislation. It could be something that he feels needs to get done. He has commented on it more than a dozen times and says it needs fixed. This leads me to believe he will try something before his tenure is up. My thought is how people think he would change it. Not whether or not he's an idiot.

I used the word socialize becase that was my question. Buzz words are for PC idiots. It is a honest question. Would he form a capatalistic system, top 8 teams in, or would he go socialist and let everyone enter the system because some conference don't have as much money and they deserve a chance to? Simple question. Aimed only at how he would set the system up.

What exactly is he doing wrong? The republicans are blocking everything he's tried so he can't be running us into the ground..
As far as I know he would force the NCAA get involved. Ya know how they have a tourney with bball baseball hockey.plus FCS div II and III football all have an actual championship decided by tournament.

Dude, I'm an African American, and I won't make that excuse for Obama! Republicans are blocking everything?? Dude, he can't galvanize the Democrats. He had a filibuster majority in the House and the Senate and still hasn't gotten anything done. I do realize that the problems this country has are mostly due to the corruption in the Congress and the overwhelming percentage that greed wins in this country. I'm disappointed that Obama was the first minority president. I don't know everything, but I felt that TN had a better minority candidate in Harold Forld Jr. than Obama. Ford Jr. is well versed in almost every issue there is and takes a definitive stance one way or the other. He also did a lot to protect the unions and now in Obama's first year the unions in this country are getting blitzed!!! The American worker is getting undermined left and right and Obama hasn't given any strong plans to deal with it. His bill to create eco jobs has not done much either. Clinton was horrible. Bush was horrible. Obama is horrible.

If you want to fix this country you have to start with two initiatives:

1) Members of Congress and former members of Congress are tried for treason if proven that they have accepted benefits from lobbyists and special interest groups.

2) Members of Congress' yearly salary is based on the average U.S. Citizens' salary. If you eliminate the benefits and make their salary reflect the average citizens' salary then they finally have no incentive to not look out for everyone.

That's a simple idea like giving tax breaks to parents that have children on the honor roll and score high on scholastic testing. You think that would make more parents take an interest in their kids' studies? Those are simple ideas that could do a wealth of good for our country, but you don't hear solution based ideas out of this Harvard grad or the other fonies in Washington.

Any who..... Obama would recommend that all conference champions be included in the playoff.

Obama would force expansion and have conference championship games.

Do you understand football at all? It is not basketball and impossible.

Didn't say it was possible. Things that shouldn't be done are done all the time. YOu haven't answered the threads question yet, by the way. Just insulted alot of people and tried to be funny. Saying no one knows, by the way, is a cop out and a weak answer. Go out on a limb and predict your opinion ...

Well he is right that it needs to be fixed first of all.

I would love for him to do a playoff with all the conference champions, but even that is very hard to do in this day and age. So top 8 would be good to me.

Also 0.0 chance anyone would ever do what you are saying with letting everyone in.
