Why are all you elitist picking on Barack Obama?

we figure we need to get our shots in now, once he's elected, his thought police will forcibly quell any dissent of his policies and remove any of us who dare criticize him personally.

You say you are an informed person when it comes to politics. I was just going to see where you fall into the democrat party. While it is not an exact science it can be telling.

By the way I am not the typical repub stereotype. I am 32 and I am lower middle class. Too much else to go into right now.

I don't want to give my age, but will say I am older than you, and consider myself lower middle class also.

My guess was either going to be 21 or younger or in the 40's. What premise do the repubs have wrong? Personal responsibility? Taxing companies less making the market grow? What are the failures of the republican party as you see them?

yeah, but I'm not sure if there is any point in arguing with them though.

Actually most here at the moment love the discourse. You show me where the dems can make my life better and I'll vote for them.

given the options available, if B. Clinton were on the ticket as an independent, I'd vote for him (especially since he's been disabused of his UHC leanings).

If you had to pick one, would you rather......

have a Democrat for a President and a Republican congress or a Republican President with a Democratic Congress?

only way I'm voting for Obama is if he begins his speech at the DNC with "Excuse me while I whip this out". I will actually tattoo Obama '08 on my forehead if that happens.

(and I hope no one is offended by my reference to one of the greatest movies ever)

This is all I'm going to say, but there is really tons more I could say..... if you're well off, vote for Republicans. But if you make less than $150,000 a year, Republicans are your friends only one year in four, and that is during an election year.
