OBAMA BOOED IN ST. LOUIS!... And Throws a Sissy Pitch

If there were significant numbers of Cubs fans there (being only a few hours away) then absolutely I could see them booing him for his White Sox gear.

noted...but I did not see much blue in the stands last night, at least not in the lower level where the booing could be heard...anyway...
HE THROWS LIKE A GIRL!

the only reason i put that out there is they didn't really start booing til he got completely out on the field and people could actually see him.

you just never know tho. i was shocked for sure to see st. louis boo the prez no matter who he is.

they are all millionaires...right?

Just went out to pick up lunch and had Limbaugh on for about 15 minutes. He talked about nothing else. He talked about the catcher being moved up onto the plate, Obama short hopping it, the "arc of the pitch" (I am not making this up), etc.

If that's what he wants to talk about right now, have at it.

The question continues to be "why do you listen to Limbaugh"?

Three reasons: 1) 90 percent of what passes as "music" these days makes me puke (another Britney Spears warbling tune, oh joy); 2) I don't have satellite radio; 3) sports shows are boring me to tears this time of year.

Just helping you out LG...you can be honest with us.

I was able to extend my Streak on ESPN so I don't know where all this "ball hit the ground first", "AP caught it on the short hop" stuff is coming from. Maybe ESPN loves him too and didn't want it to be true.

Lol, there were like two individual boos and it was mostly cheers. I can't believe people still care about baseball. Especially an all-star game. MLB is a joke and I don't understand why people still feed it money.

I have the same problem with baseball that I do with basketball -- too many damn regular season games. It seems like there's one or two key games every year that everyone wants to tlak about, but the rets is just noise.

"I was at that one game, in August, where we had the triple play. That was cool." Other than that, yawn-o-rama.

To me, baseball is one of those sports where it's much better to attend than watch on TV. Pretty much all others (for me) are fine to watch on TV (and even have some clear advantages watching on TV).

it's also worth noting that Pujols was in front of home plate and Teleprompter Jesus still couldn't muster enough arm strength to get the ball to him.

I don't see the problem with the pitch TBH. First of all, baseball is gonna be the fourth most popular sport in this country in about 5 to 10 years anyways. Second of all, it's no secret that he is more of a basketball guy. Everyone has their good sports and their bad sports. I remember George Bush shooting basketball with some little kids and his shots were full of fail. But he threw out one of the best first pitches ever. Teddy Roosevelt was still probably the best athlete president ever.

Gerald Ford might argue with that.

I disagree, Abe Lincoln was a slam dunking machine. There are some extremely rare photos of him playing pick up games in DC.
