You know that every candidate promise the world to get elected. It's all a bunch shat! If you really want to use something as an indicator of what they will do when in office, look at their history, look at what they have done, look at their judgment in pivotal situations.

Anyone who thinks candidates will deliver on a fraction of what they sell you to get elected should be turned away at the ballot box.

You are 100% correct; however you are more likely to better understand a candidate by listening to him or her rather than some wackjob commenting or speaking for the candidate.

no you're not at all. The candidate will lie like a freaking rug at every turn. Those commentating have a much greater likelihood of saying something accurate.

You didn't say that a white preacher has not said these things. You implied that if one did, there would be some sort of uproar.

Which there always is, as oppossed to black churches that have political rallies as their church service.

Incorrect, you are just as likely to be duped!

there was. Hagee, appropriately, got blistered.

Good. I don't remember that.

Farrakhan, Hagee, Falwell, Benny Hinn & Wright are all idiot blowhards who care more about the donations they receive than spreading God's word.

YouTube - John Hagee: Bush is the Messiah (March 2003) 2/4

4:10 mark of the video. People have a hard time controlling what others say about them. Perhaps you should spend more time listening to what each candidate says themselves, rather than what blowhards around the country say about them. Of course then you would have to do some critical thinking for yourself.
Maybe you should listen to that sound bite again, instead of just reading the headline of it. Hagee never even mentions the word "Messiah". He says that he believes that God has raised up George W. Bush in order to lead the nation against radical Islam.

There is a huge difference in believing that God has a plan for people, believing that certain historical figures have been inspired by God, and believing that a certain historical figure is God.

Have fun playing beer pong while the adults in this world actually tackle "big boy" issues.

I'm sorry T-Town.

I believe that the main reason Farrakhan's views don't create a stir is that most of America has written him off for the huckster he is.

As far as my saying that you are better off listening to candidates rather than people speaking for them; I was referring to preachers like Wright, Hagee, Falwell and Farrakhan. I was not referring to political analysts. Sorry for the confusion.

This is politics, buddy. Ain't nobody doing any critical thinking at this point. Just win. Cheat to compete. Whatever. This is the silly season.

I believe you are correct to an extent but the racial component is every bit as important. If the media attacks Hagee there are grumblings from the right. If you attack Farrakhan there will be a huge backlash.

This may be correct, but if I had to guess, I would say the backlash is equal, just one gets more attention than the other.

Perhaps. I don't put much stock into what anyone says. I am more concerned with myself. I have no doubt that either candidate can not do anything that will make me happy. I have done for myself and will continue to provide for myself.
My biggest concern this week: how to rebuild my retirement account from scratch.
