Gotta see specifics, I agree. But he's trying to strike that balance between cheer leader, going to help business and investment, but not going to sacrifice core principles or programs.
I thought his speach was good tonight. I really hope it helps the people that really need it this time.
I agree with the sentiment. It was a good performance until the end were he got divisive and reverted back the false choice paradigm. In my view that was completely unecessary - I assume it was intended to fire up the base but it may turn off the middle.
The first-half performance will make those who really are in the middle more receptive to the 2nd half antics, IMO. It will sound better to them because of the positive feelings from the 1st half. I would say it will grade out quite well among independents...we'll see, I guess....
