Obama National Anthem

Olbermann:

"That's what this is for the Democrats, isn't it? Their 'Neville Chamberlain moment' before the Second World War. All that's missing is the landing at the airport, with the blinkered leader waving a piece of paper which he naively thought would guarantee 'peace in our time,' but which his opponent would ignore with deceit.
he just phrased it better

and don't forget KO thinks that the Bush WH at least allowed 9/11 to happen. In private he's probably a truther

You cannot seriously be comparing that quote to this cartoon and song that Beck espouses. I mean, please.

When did Olbermann do a cartoon or produce a song comparing Bush to Hitler?

When did ANY major figure on the left do anything comparable to this thing by Beck?

who gives a crap if its a song/cartoon/or general comment. regardless the comments your boy Olbermann made about Bush were ridiculous.

All the stuff the left said about Bush over 8 years and you can't handle what the right has said about Hussein in 10 months? You have got to be kidding. What goes around comes around. Just giving you all some of your own medicine.

I wonder how the right wing of this country would have acted if a leftist commentator, with an audicence of millions, on a prominent network, had done a similar video with people shouting "Zeig Heil!" at a cartoon of Bush, substituting "Bush" throghout for "Heil Hitler."

Yeah, because that's clearly a comparable comparison. How does a lawyer consistently fail so bad at this kind of thing?

If we as a country don't get our collective heads out of our tails, this spoof could become reality. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the like are trying to turn us into a nation that can be ruled instead of governed.

"Comparable comparison?" Lay off the Mother Goose and explore new adjectives.

LG's right, ideology drives response, regardless of who's doing the provocation or who the target of the criticism is. And, contrary to what I think is your point, an unfair comparison will draw even more ire than one that is fair.

I tend to watch any news with a grain of salt. Unfortunately it seems that all of our news now comes with a slant. Or is it a perceived slant based on my beliefs? The biggest tale of the tape comes after State of the Union addresses or some other PA on television. When you watch both stations it seems like neither one of them saw/heard what I did. Usually I know that when the president or the law maker says something he/she is lying. Or in the very least, there is another agenda.

When it comes to commentary I just don't watch it. It is personal opinion and I've got plenty of that without their help.

Did you ever watch the show Lil' Bush on Comedy Central? Sheesh.

Lighten up

Per usual in your critique of over the top commentators you go over the top.

Where is the Zeig Heil? Hitler killed millions. The socialist references are to political ideology.

Surely you're aware it is thinly veiled racism. LG has bought into the crap the left has been feeding him, most people who disagree with any of Obama's policy are doing so because of deep seeded racism. The most hilarious part of his schtick is that without knowing it he has become a prime example of that which he claims to find repulsive.

I'm not sure if your analysis applies to LG per se, but I think the left is playing the racist card pretty, um, liberally these days. :p We should have expected this to happen with a non-white President, though: either side can play the race card. Glen Beck plays it, and the left does the same.

I think lots of people could get past the race issue if the pundits and politicians would let them. :good!:
