Obama officially enters...

He's got a tough road ahead, fighting the Clinton political machine, I don't see him making it.

while you may be right, I can see the democratic base rallying behind Obama because he probably presents a better chance of winning than Clinton, unless Hillary decides to distance herself from Bill. Unfortunately this will be a very dirty campaign and I think Obama has less in his closet than Hillary.

the mud wont be to thick between the dems this year. mark my words before this one is over you will have a clinton-obama ticket. the dems know that a ticket with hillary and a african american running would be near to impossible to beat. they will play nasty for awhile with each other then they will kiss, make up and run as a tag team. it will curl the hairs of the washington old guard and will either be the greatest political agenda this country has ever known, or it will be the beginning of the end for politics as we know it.

Why? The Dems historically get the black vote anyway. Adding Obama does not add anything to them getting the black vote.

While we are at it. For all of you drooling over Obama because the media has thrown him onto the TV and told you to. Can a supporter of his tell me exactly what it is that he stands for? Or is it better that as of right now no one knows what he stands for and dem supporters are just blissfully projecting their individual ideals onto him because he looks the part?

I have a question to add to this..

What foreign policy experince does he have?

What foreign policy experience does Rudy have? For that matter, what foreign policy experience did Bill Clinton have? George Bush? Jimmy Carter? Ronald Reagan?

It would seem that this is a big issue but history shows otherwise.

the most foreign policy the dems and most repbs running for office have is handing out doughnuts and coffee to all the illeagals crossing our borders.....

A woman president is extreme enough. There is NO WAY the Dems put up a woman with an african-american on the same ticket.

If ANYTHING look for Edwards to join Hillary as a stronger ticket than Obama and anyone else.

why not? don't tell me that the old prejudices are alive and well in the democratic party (hint, Robert Byrd). the democrats have taken the black vote for granted for far too long. If they don't show their appreciation somehow, they will lose those votes to a candidate and party who will view them as something more than a voting bloc that's locked in.

Edwards will retire to a palatial estate in the hills of NC before he settles on second place for the second election in a row.

Well Obama did get a free 15 minute infomerical on 60 Miuntes tonight. Thanks to the softball pitcher from 60 Minutes, I learned Obama has quit smoking and that his kids want him to win so that they can get a dog. Nice job 60 Minutes.

Obama did the right thing regarding his past cocaine use. It came from his mouth rather than as a result of opposition research.

I don't know if it's from the 60 minutes piece, but Obama sort of stuck his foot in his mouth when he claimed that people who wouldn't vote a black man for president are the same people who don't agree with his policy positions. Pretty much calling all conservatives bigots at best, racists at worst.

His wife also suffered some foot in mouth disease when she claimed that Barack, as a black man, can get shot at the gas station. I guess she's forgotten about John Muhammad and Lee Malvo, who executed white people at gas stations for kicks.

I didn't pick up on the first comment. I heard him as saying, if I lose it won't be because I'm black. Overall, I thought he handled the race issue very well. In other words, he made it as neutral as it could be.

I had a similar reaction about his wife's comments though. I think it has a lot more to do with which neighborhood you live in. I doubt the Obama's live in an area where anyone is getting shot going to the gas station.

Yea nothing like telling people how much you are just like them only to tell them you are not like them.

Also, did not like his view on talking with Syria and Iran.

If you really want a perfect example of someone with foot in mouth disease, look no further than your current President.
