I think the Tea Party's ONLY target is Obama.

While fiscal conservatism has had its own network of people for some time, the current iteration of that in the form of the Tea Party is all about people being unable to live with Obama as POTUS. If McCain had been elected and done exactly the same things as Obama, the Tea Party would not exist.






I am tempted to agree with you that she would realize that running in 2012 as a third party candidate would doom her in 2016. But I am a) not entirely sure that is true; and b) not entirely sure she would believe that.

I remember it like it was just yesterday. I was at the TP convention in Nashville and some African-American came up to me with his wife and two kids. He looked at me with a Chapelle like grin on his face and said "we've got to get blacky out of office. How the hell can a black man be president. Thank God we have a party now to make sure no other black man every gets elected."

I can't tell you how many other TP members I met from South Carolina said it too right before they elected Tim Scott. And don't even get me started on those TP bigots down in FL who helped elect Allen West. Bunch of racist. I guess we need to be more like the Deomcrats and ask our black leaders in FL to step down so whitey can win.
