Semantics. If the Constitution was not an interpretative document then there would never need to be debate over whether or not a law was constitutional or not.... There also would not be amendments. The Constitution is an ever-changing document. It was meant to be.

you just have a liberal, politically correct view of the Constitution. I don't.
It's also not "ever changing" the Amendment process is a tough one. That's the only legitimate change that can happen. Reading in rights such as abortion, habeus corpus, and privacy is something very modern and not in keeping with the Framers' intent.
