i'm not sure anything will improve relations. are we seriously arguing that this will cause a bunch of middle of the road muslims to take up arms against america? part of me wished we cut off his head and planted it in front of the twin tower memorial. but i don't disagree with the decision after having time to think about it.

Muslims in general would be pissed off by us needlessly defacing his body using customs of their religion, which we don't even subscribe to.

As far as what they would do:
1. Not that, for sure. They punish people but don't lawfully hang defaced bodies in the streets. That's a Pershing thing, and he was American.
2. It's completely irrelevant anyway...you have to be kidding yourself if you think people over there judge our actions and their actions by the same standard.

Yeah, but generally the people who make a better effort to understand them are the ones who are more sensitive and vice versa. The ones who aren't generally dismiss them as savages. We need our President to be the former. There's no need to act like savages ourselves and publicly display his body upside down covered in blood to appease the idiotic fringe of our population. We already shot him in the head.

The motivation isn't appeasment or, as you suggested earlier, mockery.

Do it to nullify a vicious act that extremists consider righteous.

BTW...those that killed over 2,000 inoccent American civilians ARE savages. As well as those that support, defend, harbor and turn a blind eye to them.

They deserve to die like savages.

I don't think we need to display the body, and I don't even like the dancing, tbh. That being said, I really don't feel like hearing any Muslim ***** about anything related to this subject, regardless of how it is or was handled.

By "them" being dismissed as savages, I was talking about Muslims. When you talk about "those" that killed American citizens, you're talking about al-Qaeda. There's a huge difference.

He died by being shot in the head. You'll even see pictures soon. After he's dead, by behaving like savages we are needlessly lowering ourselves to al-Qaeda's level.

Pouring blood on a body and hanging it upside down in public is something al-Qaeda would do (if anyone), not something America should. We've already killed him. That's enough.
