Ha ha. I have actually gotten that response while debating this issue at work.

If you think that "illegal" or "undocumented" workers don't have some kind of forged documentation, then you are extremely naive.

If having a forged document that they know is forged doesnt make it illegal then what does? If I forge say my drivers liscense, I have a feeling I would probably recieve a hefty fine in the very least and probably a suspended liscense. Deportation is the key. We will never get them all but I say get all you can.

I think BOC is right on many aspects and I can see his point about reverse racism. I personally feel like a victim of that very concept currently at work. It makes me uncomfortable and has affected my view points on this issue enough to contemplate changing jobs altogether.

While at times I view this issue from both sides of the fence, the concept that we have gone to a bit of an extreme in the equality issue is prevelant in many areas. It also should be noted that with spokesmen like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Quanell X, the argument for rational reconciliation is weakened. Radicalisim is not the solution.
In short, reverse racisim is alive and well in our culture and most people are scared to death to say anything about it. Certainly politicians wont touch, however, it was a staple and a marquee for them during the civil rights movement. Oh how far we've come!

Guessing that labor costs make up about 20% of the final price of meat. If cattle farmers doubled their pay a $3 pound of hamburger meat would cost a whopping $3.60. I dont know what your idea of "through the roof" is but I totally disagree. Hell if I could pay 50% more for my meats, Veggies, Dairy, etc. to rid this country of the drain on the economy that illegal immigrants are, I would sign up today.
