I care about people who are less fortunate than I have been that actually work, and have troubles making ends meet. I care about people who are not physically or mentally able to work. I don't give 2 sh!ts for lazy people who won't work in a pie factory, or people who make poor decisions with their lives. They made their beds. Now they can lay in them.

Its the truth. All yall cry about is making couple of pennies less theoretically and it s worth leaving people homeless and hungry to prevent that or earn an extra few dollars a year.

So you have no problem keeping welfare, ss, medicare, HUD and the other entities that help?

The myth of the "welfare queen" is a false. Most people on these programs and food stamps work. You can't just lay around and live off of welfare like some people think.

Of course there are the rare cases of abuse of the system but those are rare. You and others claim to want to help but are willing to have million people go hungry to catch a couple potential abusers.

I don't know a Liberal anywhere who doesn't agree with this. It's true that too many people are bilking the system but they are not the vast majority as Conservatives would have you believe.

A bunch of them make very poor choices in their lives. Unmarried and pregnant is the quickest path to the poor house. What percentage of welfare recipients smoke, drink, and do drugs?

I normally stay out of here and read for the entertainment, but I challenge you to ride a busy ambulance for about a month (a rotation - 3 24 hour shifts for us - would probably do it, but let's get a month in to get a good feel for it) then see what you think. I've heard direct statements from people saying they're going to have another baby so they will get a bigger check.

What is a bunch? 1 %, 50%, 90%? You are just going off of conservative propaganda. When did you hang with all these people on government assistance to know this? When did the people that always claim this live in a poor neighborhood and check peoples welfare status versus drug use? It is a false narrative used to justify being a selfish greedy douche.

What kind of check? You can't stay on welfare without working unless you are disabled. I seriously doubt your story. I grew up around many poor people and still know many. Not one would take a tiny check from the government over having a good job. I doubt people that don't know you are telling an ambulance driver or EMT how they are scheming to get a few hundred dollars in government money. Even if it was true 1 schemer versus 100 people that need help should not prevent you from wanting to help if you really do.

Yes you can stay on welfare without working quite easily. All you have to do is have kids and pretend to search for a job. One of my sister's has been on most of the welfare programs for years.

I advocate for drug testing welfare recipients.
