What kind of check? You can't stay on welfare without working unless you are disabled. I seriously doubt your story. I grew up around many poor people and still know many. Not one would take a tiny check from the government over having a good job. I doubt people that don't know you are telling an ambulance driver or EMT how they are scheming to get a few hundred dollars in government money. Even if it was true 1 schemer versus 100 people that need help should not prevent you from wanting to help if you really do.

I remember now why I don't venture in here. Anybody that disagrees with anybody is a liar, racist, or stupid.

Slow down. Why in the hell would I lie? Happened. You would be surprised what people tell/make random statements about in front of us. Next - did I say anything about not helping people out? No. Volunteered before I started doing this for a living for the past 20 something years. Too expensive to do this as a "hobby" now. Essentially 3 years of college, plus 36 to 48 hours every two years of continuing education to "drive an ambulance..." I digress from getting on that soapbox...

Anyways - what I was trying to get at is that it's easier and happens more than you realize. I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever with helping people in need or down on their luck, etc. But in order for me to be willing to help, at least be willing to help yourself.

This. Institute drug testing for welfare and the problem is instantly solved. Weed is not bad for you, better than alcohol...

But the 1 thing weed kills is INITIATIVE and I speak from experience. For every 1 person that gets high and goes to work there are 10 people who get high, sit on the couch playing Playstation or selling dope all day, and contribute absolutely nothing to society. Milk the system for every penny they can...welfare,unemployment, food stamps,wic, bullcrap lawsuits from fender benders, etc. Any excuse not to work...rather smoke dope all day. Whether it's in moms basement at age 45 or in section 8 housing with 9 kids from 6 different fathers. I have personally known many of both types. Hard drugs are even worse. Then they become thieves as well.

If you want to sit on your ass all day and let my taxes pay your bills need to quit smoking dope at my expense. Period.

Cue the weed warriors.

Wasting your time. I have smoked more weed than the vast majority of society. Then I grew up.
