Obi-Wan Kenobi (Disney+)

Just caught up on the last two episodes. E4 was mostly meh. Felt kind like filler. It was the shortest episode but really dragged for most of it.

Episode 5 on the other hand.

When Vader…

…pulled the ship back down…

even my wife let out an audible ‘Whoah!’

I didn’t really feel the show needed redeeming but episodes 3 and 5 have been outstanding. I expect the climax to be pretty epic.

Lol that’s funny you say that because my wife did the exact same thing.

For me the ship being pulled down was awesome but the part that really was badass was he's toying with Reva and takes her dual lightsaber, separates them, then throws her one. I mean she should already know how screwed she is, but at that moment it's like.....he's toying with you and trolling you.

When that was going on my wife was like “We’ve never seen this one handed no lightsaber maneuver before”.

The my 9 year old said “Why didn’t he do that in Empire Strikes Back (when the MF was leaving Hoth)”.

The use of the force has been inconsistent pretty much throughout the entire Star Wars saga and is more plot driven than anything. It's no different than superhero movies and their inconsistent showing of how superpowers work.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they're setting up a Season 2?

There is a lot to cover in one final episode...

That’s what I thought as well. I don’t see them getting it all wrapped up, but maybe they don’t intend to do so.

Exactly. Vision in the MCU is the perfect example.

In Age of Ultron he was meant to be dramatically stronger than the rest of the Avengers, by Infinity War he was pretty much just one of the team.

My favorite in Marvel Comics. Especially when I found out that before Ultron refurbished him he was the original Human Torch…my second favorite Marvel hero.

I'm sorry and I know I'm in the minority here, but that's also another reason the Marvel movies suck. They are bankrupt of any actual rules of their own universe unless it fits a particular plot line.

Absolutely…. Sometimes you just have to shut up and watch the movie.

To say you’re in the minority is quite an understatement 😂

Bruh… that’s been the way it is in the comics since the beginning. There is always a new power usage when they need it to get out of a jam.

Star Wars has been a Swiss Cheese plot since the OT. You gotta hand wave a lot of it.

Like how Leia remembers just a little bit of her mother. “She was very beautiful, but very sad”….

Leia you knew her for the first 10 seconds of your life 😂, your memory retention must be supernatural.

Or “Darth Vader betrayed and murdered your father”… Two movies later George is like “uh.. yeah… that was a uh… metaphor. Yeah.l! It was just from a certain point of view. That’s it. Planned that way allllll along”

I actually saw where you said this recently, and I gotta be honest, I’m not with you on this one. Obi-Wan acted really strange when he said that, like he was hesitating/lying. I think that was planned.

The Prequels were horrendous.
