Off-season Injuries

People stop egging on Coach Jumper.

He's not going to say Holly's the mechanic that he's referring to. It is not his style...

Did we have the "right one" in the past few seasons on the staff ?

Some"thing" is missing from the last few teams. Talent was/is there. Physicality was/is there. Continuity and confidence waned.

Defense wasn't affected because you can play defense with most any frame of mind because most of it is reactionary.... But on offense, you have to be with a clear mind because it is creationary. (Yes, I can see spellcheck udererlining it).

On offense, you have to have "permission to fail" in order to have the mental ability to succeed. If you are at all timid or second-guessing on offense, you freeze. Or, stop moving.

What's missing,, is either the mental-freedom the girls need to succeed, or the person in the mix who gives them this mental edge.

It ain't about Holly. This steady force can come from any spot in her staff... Just like, the emotional leader of a team can be the girl who rides the pine in all but garbage duty, yet the team gets their emotional lift from her.

Same principal.

You are correct. I would not. Because at his point, I am not sure who the mechanic that works in that part of the vehicle is. It may or may not be Holly. . . . What I will tell you is the first game I see a LV player walk to the bench in a defiant way after doing something that a coach would not find acceptable,,, and don't see a coach react to it... I will know the position has not been filled.

The one I worked out is ________.

I put her through about 40 different skill-drills, to see what she needed work on. After the workout, we were going to start two-a-week's.

We can talk on email if you want to
