Wasn't it?
No coach can be proficient in all areas of coaching. That is why they have staff. That is why they look for the best in their respective markets to build there org.
When you look at a program, be it, business or sport, you break it down and see where the strength is and the weakness is... Then you hone the things that are working and repair the things deficient.
There are many things great about this team... It's present player-makeup, its history, its status, its "draw" for top athletes. The fanbase is ardent and involved. The coaches in place have traveled most of the history with it.
But
Two things I have heard consistently on this site:
- Lack of offense. Particularly with regards to smart and timely movement
- Skill set of the players not progressing (maybe even regressing)
Both are fixable.
But for it to happen, the right mechanic has to be involved.
