Offensive woes: Pretty insightful breakdown

I mean, maybe? Not really? Teams are able to drop 7 into coverage. If we have to keep an RB or TE in to block those 4 because they show pressure, then back off....our WR are going to have trouble getting into an open spot. We got killed with this vs Arkansas. Until the OL improves, the offense will not be explosive. If we didn't have Sampson playing out of his mind to get yards, our running would be DOA.
I am talking about the receivers taking no more than 3 steps. Boom! Ball is out in 2 seconds. No dropbacks till we are inside their territory. Make sense?

I can’t remember a season in my decades of being a Vol fan where the gap between good offense vs poor opponents and poor offense vs good opponents has been this wide.

This is where I hope JH adjusts. SEC D coordinators have seemingly figured out the JH offense...or at least how to take advantage of our OL... and WRs as a group, IMO, need to get better separation
Our receivers really have not gotten much seperation since the 2022 season. We lost our receivers coach to the Saints I think and have not been good at getting separation since. Just my opinion but numbers say I can’t be to far off.
