Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread

You could argue that Haden, Mathews, and Graham don't deserve top 15 money. You could also say that Tebow and Alualu don't deserves any 1st round money, but it happens. I think him picking Mays made a lot of sense since he coached him and Mays is from Seattle.

I would argue all of those points. lol

I just hope, for the success of the Seahawks, that Carroll does not choose the players he wants for that organization based on his previous loyalties and where the players hometown is.

Not saying that I know better than Pete, just saying that's not how I would go about running a team.

Lol fair enough. I just think that they obviously needed a db and had Thomas not been there for the taking then Mays was the next in line.

Taking Mays in the first round if he was your own son doesn't even make sense.

Titans pick Rusty Smith, QB from FAU

here's your future backup; hope he develops well into something Billy Volek or Neil Odonnell wise for the team

Titans take Rusty Smith QB from Florida Atlantic.

Can't believe Pike and Lefevour are still on the board.

Edit: beat me to it. lol

The Colts last pick Brody Eldridge started games at center, guard, and tight end this year for the Sooners, wow. Scouting report says he's the best blocking TE in the draft. Also played some fullback.

Oh, I know it's a back up pick.

I'm just curious as to why so many people are passing on Lefevour and Pike.

lol well i meant dont view it as the titans are passing on them; the titans were looking for a guy with backup potential

I think it has to do w/ something the analysts said that had to do w/ all the qbs who need to develop a year or so dropping: with their possibly being a labor stoppage (lockout) after next season, teams are picking players for the now and to win now, not the developing guys

so the qbs are taking a hurt with there not being a certainty next season

Gotcha. :good!:

lol

Lefevour seems very excited to be a Bear. Good for him, and the best of luck.

Syd'quan Thompson taken by Denve; haven't heard that name since...wasn't he the Cal CB that Ainge and Meachem picked on all game?
