Official 2015 Summer Baseball Thread

Warren has a rough go of it in the 2nd...gave up a single, a double, 3 walks, 4 runs with 2 SO...

B2 4-4 game

Warren gets them in order and adds a K to his tally ... B3 4-4 score...

Warren gives up a lead off single and 2 walks...Leftridge gets his second walk of the day...Warren gets out of the bases loaded jam with a K!

B4 game still tied at 4...I'll be surprised if Zach comes out to start the 5th.

Warren does pitch the 5th...runner reaches on a WP K with an error on the catcher for the throw...I think...no damage done...still 4-4 game B5

Warren final line: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 6 BB, 5 SO, 25 BF

He didn't have his best stuff but he battled and he leaves the game with his team up 6-4...

I'm too lazy to do it but I would like to see last year summer numbers for guys and then this years stats.

The summer Marks had last year and then had a great years this spring you have got to like what the pitchers have done this summer

I'd be glad to do it at the end of the summer, might need a reminder though...:p

Brett Langhorne made the California Collegiate All Star Baseball Team. He made it as a third baseman, the guy from UGA that he's been competing with, Nick King, made it as a SS...

Senzel gets the start at 3B...batting in the 3 spot...first AB...K

Senzel goes 3/5 with a K, a stolen base and an E...all singles...that's his third three hit game of the summer...His BA is .333, good for 4th in the entire Cape currently and he is #1 with 27 hits. Brewster wins 5-3.

Also leads the Cape in steals w/ 9...

Leftridge is the only Vol getting a start in tonight's Bucs/Miners game. Playing LF, batting 9th.

Leftridge flies out to shallow RF...that's it for me fellas...Miners lead 3-2...

Senzel is 3/4 so far with 3 runs, 2 RBI and a walk...

Cammarata is 1/1 with another Home Run, RBI and a walk...

Senzel ends the day with a .353 average...we'll have to wait to see how the other games play out, but he could be the leading hitter in the Cape before this night is done.

Westhampton wins 15-6...

Quint Robinson: 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO...4.61 ERA

Richard Jackson: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 0 SO...3.60 ERA

If even only for a moment, it brings a chill seeing that UT cap on the top for a change. Has to make the program proud. GO VOLS!!!

Yep, he'll likely end up second tonight, but he will be in the hunt the rest of the way.
