That's it for tonight.

Not a good summer for WN

Little guy is tired and needs to shut it down IMO. Big work load for a youngster with that frame

I agree Bruin. He needs to be back on campus eating pizza, nachos and anything else he can stomach and put on a few pounds...:)

Dang 66, are any of the Vols having a good summer?

To be honest off the top of my head, I can't say...but this is the most lack luster summer in terms of just following the players. Many of the guys that I was looking forward to keeping up with aren't coming back, so it put a damper on it from the start.

However, this has given me some time to look into the freshmen to be and I'm excited about that...this may be the best class we've brought in during CDS' tenure...certainly the best group of arms, without question. Quite a few first team awards won by these guys, even Andre Lipcius...have to wait and see I guess.

Jacob Westphal is having a good summer all things considered...forgot about him.

Jordan Rodgers is batting .327 in the Cape and has 5 multi hit games out of 13...that's good numbers in the Cape. That .327 is good for 8th in the entire Cape.

Add Hunter Martin in there too, he just doesn't have the sample size with just 12.1 IP...in his last start he went 6 IP and had 8 K's with 0 walks. He's got a 2.18 ERA through 2 starts, in both he went at least 6 innings. That would be good enough for 13th in the league if he had a few more innings.

He's getting another start tonight.
