Harris is 1-3 so far.

Brodie was 1-4.

Zach gives up a walk and an RBI single, the run is charged to Neely.

Neely's final line... 6.2 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 3 SO, 2 BB

Any news on which players may not be returning to the team next year? With the injured players returning, and 15 freshmen now enrolled, the numbers do not equal 35.

It appears that Warren and Sands (FSU) are the only two pitchers to have not thrown in the 4 games against Japan. Game 5 is tomorrow morning. Tanner Houck will be making his 2nd start of the series.

I think Soto maybe done for the summer. He appears to be at home in Florida now. I don't think that is the worst thing with his big increase in innings this year.

*Both he and Westphal were released.

I have heard that it is not good news for the Vols nor Aaron. I've been told it is an injury from someone at the Cape but hopefully those reports are wrong.

Neely started for the Bucs tonight. I just began watching the stream in the top of the 2nd and he has already been replaced. He only threw 4 pitches in the inning and the announcers do not know why he was replaced.

I would assume it is due to the fact he just pitched Tuesday, maybe the coach did not realize that until after the game started.

What you said about Neely has me worried! Hopefully it is nothing but why would you throw 4 pitches in the 2nd inning and then come out? Especially when you hadn't given up a run? Looks like Zach Reid came in later in the game to help preserve the shut out by the way.

If what I am hearing about Aaron Soto is true, we don't need anymore arm injuries. These freshmen pitchers better be as good as advertised.

I posted a few weeks ago that Neely should come home. Little Frame with a lot of innings. Couple that with being way over used in HS and this sounds like another will Crowe result to me. Hope I am wrong

Warren did not throw in Game 5 vs. Japan. Team USA lost 5-4 in 10, and lost the series 3-2.

He was replaced before the 2nd began, they said he only threw 4 pitches in the 1st inning which looks correct looking at the play by play.

One theory on Neely is that they have been having a scout showcase this weekend. They had a DH and maybe they wanted him to get an inning in to be seen? Probably optimistic thinking on my part though.
