I hope he brings Chief back.

See, I'm not sure. The reason is, is because I don't view Chief as a great recruiter. And that's something we desperately need. In the 1990s and early 2000's, we didn't need him to recruit as much as we would now.

He is a great DC, no doubt. But just not sure he's what we need at this point in time.

I don't think Chavis will come back.

For Fulmer, I think he would. Anyone else and I just don't see it. CBJ seem to make it clear that he thinks if you can recruit, you can recruit anywhere. Those expecting to see 6 guys hired with SEC ties and or from the south may be upset when the staff is all hired. Only concern I have is does he go hire big name proven assistants or does he just double all his current assistants salaries and there is our "best staff in the country"?

We'll find out over the next few days I guess. I'm glad that he kept Graham. Wish we coulld've kept Pittman also because the linemen loved playing for him. Hopefully he'll do what he said and get the best assistants he can find.

Perhaps not a main staff member, but I would really like to see a dedicated kicking game resource brought on board. A George Cafego type (Fuad, maybe)?

Real, accurate information instead of bull.

I`m particularly interested in who will be our next DC.

Tired of all the whining.

Lets get behind our players and new HC.

If we continue to sit on our butts and complain, we have no chance of turning our program around.

Does Tee wear a National Championship ring that he earned @ UT? I wonder how much of a difference that makes to a recruit when the guy across from you says he wants you and has that Championship experience?:rock:

Yep. I would take him over some choice, but I think we can do better in this situation.

I agree with graham and pitman, but I don't think hinshaw has done well at anything other than recruiting. Tyler bray never learned anything while he was qb coach and the recievers route running seemed to degress plus all were dropping easy passes. I personally don't care for hinshaw

Because everyone knows that Hinshaw was responsible for them dropping balls and their ****ty route running.

If he does that (rehires most of his old staff), then I am off the bandwagon - at least till he recruits good and wins some games. In his presser, he indicated that would not be the case. I will trust him till he proves otherwise.

I wonder if the AD will put the money they would have spent on Gruden or Fisher into the staff? I think that would be a great model for success that for some reason no one has tried. Pay the HC a good salary then surround him with the best money can buy.

No. I think the one coachable guy of the big 3 (Rogers) improved alot.
and their ****ty route running.

This IS something a WR coach should do something about. However CP was the exception. Otherwise the route running was pretty decent.

Tis why he is bringing his OC and DC here. Makes sense!

I don't really understand the resentment levied toward chaney. It may be that he isn't going to fit in to the new coaches scheme but it isn't as though he didn't do at least a moderately good job. Our problem was defense and given our defensive history under phil that is a really sore spot with me.

Most of us don't have a resentment towards Chaney. He helped us have a great offense. Questionable play calling at times, but he was a good OC. But just like Pittman, you may be a great coach, and the players may like you, but if you aren't oriented towards the type of football we are going to play, then maybe you should look elsewhere. I'm sure that Chaney will find a job VERY quickly.

Got a problem with his Cincy DC being DC. He can be LB coach. They need to cough up 1,000,000 for a DC that can fix the mess quick.

Maybe he will.... but I will wait for the link rather than just take your word for it.

I like his DC though. Stats are always relative to competition but his performance against the better teams they've played looks good. In the 3 years he has been at UC, they have gone from 28 ppg to 20 ppg to 17 ppg. They held the same WVU O that hung 70 on Steele and Clemson to 24 pts.
