Official BCS bowl matchups

NCG: LSU-Bama
Sugar: Michigan-VTech (sigh)
Orange: Clemson-WVU
Fiesta: OKST-Stanford
Rose: Wisconsin-Oregon

Sugar and Orange matchups are freaking awful. I hate the BCS.

Okay, govols120, given your Bowl match ups are accurate...

NCG: LSU (Chief) is my emotional choice BUT 'Bama in a good physical game.
Sugar: Michigan
Orange: Clemson
Fiesta: Oklahoma State
Rose: *Oregon *Hate it, but Ducks too much speed for the Badgers. Like a Black Mamba---quick-strike (death)...

If Michigan DOESN'T beat this extremely overrated VT team I'm going to be kinda embarrassed. Absolutely hate VT, so it'd be a fun win.

When's the last time we had a 3 v 4 game?

They used to do it early on in THe system's run I think

VT fans on Facebook saying they can't wait to beat down Michigan. Yes, both teams are overrated, but those people are (hopefully) in for a rude awakening

Most definitely.

If Michigan can stop Tech's run game, it's an easy win. Just look at Clemson. Logan Thomas can't beat anyone.

Oh look, espn's lobbying of Griffin all night shot him up to the predicted front runner

I'm sooooo pumped to see the B1G's third best team play a team that's been obliterated twice in one year by the same not-so-good team!

Perplexing is an understatement.

...(not to be taken the wrong way at all) i was certain before the 2007 big 12 championship game that if Mizzou lost and dropped to 11-2, they were going to get left out of the at large bids

They were looking at almost the exact same scenario Tennessee was in 2001 when they lost the SEC Championship (I'm sure you'll recall that - despite being #7 overall at that point, the BCS passed on them and took UF, and Tennessee went to the Citrus Bowl...the human polls have always had a big issue of short term memory about looking only at who lost more recently; teams losing championship week have tended to get hurt more by this, since they then have to get ranked against a lot of teams that all were on byes)

Neither team should be anywhere close to a BCS game. It's mixed emotions for me as I'm excited to see a fun season rewarded with a trip to New Orleans, but it's also not fun realizing Michigan has no business being in the Sugar Bowl.

Gotta pull for VaTech in this one. My corporate is in the Detroit area, and I hear enough Michigan love all year long even when they don't win.
