It's taking me a while to get through 1Q84 but I'm about halfway. I think it's his best use of mystery yet.

I would highly recommend Kafka and Norwegian Wood. Those two are my favorite. Sputnik Sweetheart is good too; it was my first.

1Q84 starts getting really weird and awesome a little past halfway through. People kept asking me what it was about but I couldn't tell them. You won't be able to, really, until the very end.

That's how all of them are lol. I can never explain his books except with the words metaphysics and cats. But he is probably the most effective author when it comes to helping me escape. I also find some of his books relaxing.

I'm in the middle of Faust. Pretty grand. (Also reading Mansfield Park, which, thus far, is Jane Austen's best work).

Finished Pat Summitt's book on Monday. Reread Suttree again the past few days. Just rereading some Mark Twain short stories for the next few days or so. Always good.

got all my reading done in grad school. now i focus on work. wish i had time.

if i had more time id read app trail maps as well river maps of wnc

I recently finished American Sniper by the late U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. Chris Kyle. He talks about how he became the sniper with the most confirmed kills. It's a very good book if you enjoy reading military books.

I also just finished Damn Few by U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. Rorke Denver. He talks a lot about when he went through BUD/S and other missions prior to and including Iraq. It's another very good military book.

i recommend heart and the fist by eric greitens. oxford scholar and navy seal :p

I just started 11/22/63 by Stephen King. So far so good. I read his novel Duma Key a couple of months ago, and was pleasantly surprised.
