1Q84 by Haruki Murakami.

Decided I wanted to read some sci-fi and chose this book. Nearly a thousand pages later, I finished it off but was left unsatisfied with its ending. Left way too many important questions unanswered.

Not sure I would recommend it, but it wasn't terrible. Very interesting writing although very tedious at times. Great characters and narrative, but too many loose ends to say I'm glad I read it.

Anyone read anything else by Murakami?

Currently reading League of Denial: The NFL, Concussions, and the Battle for Truth. Pretty interesting so far.

Nothing to Lose A Jack Reacher Novel
Very interesting two towns hope and despair that are utter opposites in Colorado. One guy owns everything in despair, all work for him so he's the Lex Luther of the town. It hasnt revealed what dirty things in the town no doubt horrid with multiple people
having been run out of Despair.
A great book, also Jack is a great with wisecracks. He reminds me of Spider Man who is also great with wisecracks.
I can't wait to read about Jack's impressive fighting feats.

I've started rereading Terry GoodkinDs Sword of Truth novels, should take a long time since I have a stack of them :)

Reading through the book of Isaiah right now.

One of my favorites. Starting with 6:5 and including the many Messianic prophecies.

I am attempting to digest The Genesis Account from Jonathan D Sarfati PH.D., F.M. As it states it is a theological, historical and scientific commentary on Gen. 1-11. This one will take multiple readings. Fascinating.

solid read.

Just started East of Eden

Good choice. I read it for the first time this spring and really enjoyed it. I've got some more Steinbeck on my list coming up soon.

Just finished The Brothers Karamazov. Just started The Things They Carried.

I have not read for fun in years.

I am a huge HP Overdraft fan and early Stephen King Dark Half or prior. I felt his wife began writing his books after that.

Any advice?

I would love a good Newer stephen king book but he just seemed to lose it after needful things.

Thanks.

A True crime book that is Serial Killers The Method and Madness of Monsters.
I was shocked to find out a 11 year old girl in England murdered 2 victims on seperate occasions. Even before it gave the name on page 4 I knew who it was on page 3. Not right away but after a major detail if I recall right in regards to a job he had.
Very interesting never thought of it that Ted Bundy was a updated egalitarialianized version of Jack the Ripper which is brought up.
The Son of Sam claiming to recieve orders from a black dog no doubt he's using the familar explanation of a authority figure told them to do it in the trials of Nazis to diminish responsibility.

Although no doubt the black dog doesnt exist and its mainly a case of attempting to appear insane so he doesnt get sent to a prison.

Currently reading: "The Best American Science and Nature Writing 2015," "The Best American Essays 2015," and Bill Bryson's "A Brief History of Nearly Everything."

Just finished The Brothers Karamazov. Just started The Things They Carried.

My old kindle died just as a made it to page 100 in East of Eden, so that book is on hold for a while.

My wife got me a new kindle for Xmas. I just finished The Revenant. Great story and I can't wait for the movie.

Now reading: The Bassoon King by Rainn Wilson

Also, Karmazov is a masterpiece. I definitely need to re-read that one.

I enjoyed that book

Candide by Voltaire. Surprisingly easy to understand considering it was written in the mid 1700's and was translated from French. I liked its satire against the "all is for the best" philosophy that is still somewhat present today among many first world folks.

Took a lot of time off from reading in 2015. Back at it

You're Lucky Your Funny (P Rosenthal memoir)
How to Write a Sitcom
Starship Troopers
