Vader can read? Huh.

Sorry had to. :)
:p
I am now on to "The Moon is Down" by Steinbeck. It is a work of fiction he wrote during WWII as a piece of propaganda for the Allies against the Nazis. The liner notes say that possession of the book in fascist Italy was punishable by death. Should be interesting.

I'll second the thumbs up on the Hosseini books. Both insightful and very quick reads.

I'm right now reading "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom. Jury's still out.

I am starting "Knight" by Bob Knight. It came out when he first left Indiana and went to Tech so it is a little older now.

I just ordered Les Miserables [unabridged], authored by Victor Hugo, translated by Lee Fahnestock/Norman MacAfee. The book is 1488 pages long, talk about a tall book! Has anyone read it?

finished Lone Survivor this week. I can't even imagine what that guy went through. Highly recommend if you like military type books

I have it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. That and about 9 other books.

Almost finished with SOG, a great book on special operations during the vietnam war. Many of these guys are legends in the SF community.

The last book I finished was "Baa Baa Blacksheep." The story of WW2 pilot Gregory "Pappy" Boyington. As told by the legend himself.

I have been on a Clancy kick lately. Recently finished "The Cardinal of the Kremlin" and "Patriot Games". Just started "The Sum of All Fears"

Wheres Waldo was easy once you know the reason he was hiding: He was hiding from Chuck Norris

:eek:lol:

Those Chuck Norris jokes get me every time.

Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Ever.

Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.

Skunk Works: A Personal Memoir of My Years of Lockheed by Ben Rich...almost finished...highly recommend it...oh and Performance Evals for work - snore

Just finished Domain by Steve Alten. Interesting novel though I'm not high on his style of writing. Started Grisham's new book The Appeal last night but only got through a few pages before falling asleep. Not to say it's boring, I was just tired.

Tried reading Clancy when I was younger and just couldn't do it. It was really odd, can't explain it. I think I was just retarded. I may try again sometime in the near future. I did really like Rainbow Six and got about half way through it. Then I tried Red Rabbit I think and gave up.

Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster, a landmark book on the spiritual disciplines

I'm holding Les Miserables off 'till a later time. But for now:

Candide: Or the Optimist by Voltaire. Looks like a quick read. Les Miserables is a hard book to get into at the start, so the sheer brilliance of Voltaire will be refreshing...Voltaire at his most sarcastic- Couldn't turn it down.

Next up: Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. It's Vonnegut. Enough said.
