Not the best weekend ever but there is some quantity. Three televised (well 3, if you have Epix, which I know I'm in the minority with being able to say yes to) cards this weekend.

1) Tomorrow night you've got a pretty decent prospect in Solomon going up against the lesser known, and less talented, Hopkins family member but it could still be an interesting fight. Avalos in the opener can be exciting.

2) The beauty that is the heavyweight division is back on full display. From those that have seen him, Solis is apparently a very talented fighter, maybe even more so than Vitali, but he'll come in fat and out of shape. This should be another "jab him into oblivion on the scorecard" type of fight for Klitschko. I'd guess a mercy corner stoppage somewhere around the 10th. Please, for the love of God, David Haye do not back out of the fight against Wlad again.

3) Showtime has a Bute fight from Montreal again, which might be the best thing about this fight. Magee is pretty average I think but Bute doesn't really have much in the way of options until the Super 6 shakes out. The crazy ass Canadian crowds at least make for a fun atmosphere during a Bute fight.

Unfortunately, I'll be out of town all weekend but the DVR will be choke full for Sunday night when I get home, hopefully some of these will be worth not FWDing through.

I think one of us could have fared better than Richard Bryant did in his last fight. Or the guy before that who made it a whole 58 seconds, I believe.

He could probably be good, if he would become a fighter, which won't happen...

And until then, they are going to keep giving the guy from the sporting goods store a sandwich to go get his ass beat, if nothing else Zbikowski adds some novelty to a card.

Just caught the replay of the Solis v Klitschko fight. Weird fight..Solis got rocked on a strange punch, and couldn't get his legs.

Yeah, i had it going on the PC, went to take a leak, come back, and it was over. Bad luck, not that I gave Solis much of a chance, but to get to that point to have something on you break.

Was really strange to watch the replay because his left leg was the one that looked like it took an awkward turn and then he went down and was clutching at his right knee. Sounds awful to say but, in a weird way, I was happy to hear that he did actually blow out a ligament after what I was thinking was going on. Unfortunately, as much as I love boxing, my first reaction is usually a cynical one when anything like that happens.

Just a ploy to drive up the gate, he's not going to make the televised part of a card. Smart move on their part, really. There are a whole hell of a lot of people whose last name end in 'ski that are within driving distance of AC. When was the last time a Cuban and a Mexican fought in front of a Polock dominated crowd?

100 million! That is funny. Even Floyd Sr. says it is an unrealistic number.

Sucks that the fight will never happen. Woulda loved to have seen it.

Totally forgot about the Gamboa card tonight, glad the UFC guy reminded me...missed the undercard, main event hasn't seen Michael Buffer yet.

I can't blame PBF, wish he'd take the fight, but he can live off of being unbeaten forever. I think he could win, but getting shelled like Hatton did would kill his earning power.

JMM needs another shot, Manny won't touch that.

Is this a PPV or is it HBO/Showtime? I might watch boxing more if I knew more of the names. I caught the brunt end of the superstars when it comes to boxing. Aside from Tyson, Holyfield, De La Hoya... the last big name I remember prior to Klitschko, Mayweather and Manny is Lennox Lewis. That dude rose and fell faster than about anyone I've ever seen.

I'd probably watch boxing more if I knew more about the fighters these days. I feel like the purses are larger than ever on some fights but the promotion is way down. It's like you have to research it for yourself if you want to stay up to date.

Are the fights tonight suppose to be any good?

I stream alot of PPv's, but they are like gypsies, hard to find them, i can watch HBO on tv, and Showtime Boxing online with no effort....
Gamboa is the real ****, fighting now. Should be quick, if you ask Noch.
