Official Bubble Watch/Games to watch thread

An unusually good game on a Friday night. Arizona at Arizona St. Of course we want the Cats but it's the same situation that the Florida game was for us. A loss won't hurt Arizona St, but a win is huge.

Also, SMU at Rutgers. SMU should win, but they've already lost to the worst team in their conference. A loss to the second worse team would move them back down onto the bubble

It's a shame that we are here again begging for other teams to lose because we can't win our way into the tournament. Sadness.

It's likely we'll need a win in the SEC tourney, but if we win 6 of our last 7 I'd say we're safe.

IMO the SEC is so bad that we will need to win until we are playing Florida or Kentucky because a loss to a Mississippi state will knock us off the bubble.

The point of this thread is to gain a little perspective about the rest of the the bubble. It's garbage. Not sure if you've noticed but bubble teams are losing to some ****ty teams. If we win 6/7 then we're fine.

Yeah I know. I'm predicting more than I am speculating. This team will be fighting for its life in the SECT. Watch.

They aren't good enough to win out. They will lose two down the stretch. One against Missouri and another one to a bottom feeder. Then we will be right where I predicted. In the SECT and can't afford a loss to anyone not UK or UF.

Gotcha. Yeah, I think we could easily lose 2 down the stretch. In that case we would have to win one in the SECT which is a ****ty position to be in.

I think it would take more than 1 because of the opponent we'd draw in game 2. Could we afford a loss to Texas AM? Georgia?

I don't think we'd be safely in, but probably one of the last 4.

Right now it's looking like we'll be the 3 seed (how bad is the SEC?) and the 6 seed will be LSU or Missouri. If it's Mizzou, that would be a decent win.

Following along with the mock selection has been entertaining. They're all saying anyone who wants to expand the field should have to sit through that, they're struggling to find 68 teams lol.

People say dumb crap like we have a bad loss, or we don't have a lot of good wins. No $hit, that's why we're projected at a 11 seed and not a 6 seed. Every "bubble team" has flaws on their resumes, or they wouldn't be a bubble team.

It's too hard to project that because there's no way of knowing our seed or matchups. We could get a 1st round bye meaning that our first game would likely be a decent opponent, and the second game would likely be against Florida or Kentucky.

7:00pm: Arkansas vs. Missouri
9:00pm: USM vs. UAB
9:00pm: St. John's vs. Seton Hall
9:00pm: Colorado vs. UCLA
9:00pm: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin
11:00pm: BYU vs. Pacific
11:00pm: San Diego vs. SMC

To recap last night...

Missouri wins
USM loses
SJU wins
Colorado loses
Minnesota loses
BYU loses
SMC wins

The Colorado and Minnesota losses are very good news for Tennessee.

I'm predicting we lose two down the stretch. Wherever that puts us in SEC play. As I said, a loss to anyone not Florida or Kentucky will knock us out of the dance. Just my predictions
