Official Duke/UNC 2016-17 Thread

I've been waiting on this thread!! I got a few thoughts so far:
1. If Duke gets healthy, yikes, this team will be stupid good and fun to watch.
2. I hoped Frank Jackson would be around next year, but I don't think that's the case.
3. Luke Kennard has been great. I'm not sure if you can bench him even when Tatum comes back. I thought he'd be around for awhile, but he seems to be climbing draft boards and probably has higher stock than Allen at this point.
4. Allen has been a little off this year and seems to be pressing too much. Hopefully this will stop once we get healthy and he isn't having to do as much.
5. It's so nice having Amile back.
6. I wish we would've won last night, because I can see this team running the table and maybe going undefeated.
7. I've been impressed with UNC so far, they look pretty good.

Somebody must have caught a little bit of sportscenter this morning, because you don't just have that stat in your back pocket.

Im more optimistic about the Heels chances of winning the league after the first few games. We will see what Duke looks like if/when those guys debut, and who K actually sits, but the gap isn't far between the two IMO.

Hard to tell what Duke is just yet.

If Duke plays to its potential, there's a significant gap between them and just about everyone else

Nah. I'm gonna wait to see what they look like when these guys debut(if they ever do), but the perceived gap that everyone thought preseason isn't there.... Unc has every piece to win it all.

If Duke plays to its potential, they have at least the top 2 players on the court at all times.

Berry is playing like one the best PG in America, and sorry, but I'm going to need to see a guy play before I take him over anyone on UNC's front court.. Especially Giles with his surgeries. We will see. Also, what your describing is basically Duke/UK every year...

That's why it's an if. Far from a sure thing, but this is the best Duke team on paper in a long time, including the recent champions. Giving a future 1 seed all they could handle while missing their top 3 NBA prospects is a pretty good sign though. It should be an interesting year in the ACC
