Official Duke/UNC 2016-17 Thread

Another great ACC title for the Dukies. Now, time for that first or second round trip back home.

Regarding Carolina, there's still talk of a 1 seed, but I don't think we deserve it. I think we're a 2 seed in reality. As is Duke.

I've been expecting Duke to get a higher seed than people expect, because the committee will put more emphasis on what they did when they were healthy (coach included). So it still feels weird to say but a 1 really isn't out of the question

It's either them or the PAC 12 champ for the South #1. Would the PAC 12 even want to be the 1 in the south vs the 2 in the West? I doubt it.

I don't think this will be a team that's done The first weekend. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. We'll see how the match ups shake out.

I doubt Duke has ever won the ACC and then lost on the first weekend. FSU did but probably very few teams have

I'm not arguing that they don't deserve it but it would be bucking history just a bit. No team with 8 losses has ever been a 1 seed. However, the committee likes to reward hot teams at the end of the season who played tough schedules. This will be an interesting call.

Also, Duke has 13 wins vs the top 50 in the APR. That's the most of anyone in the country.

No PAC 12 team! The only teams I was really worried about were Zona, UCLA, and Oregon. Also interesting that Duke didn't even get the #1 2 seed.
