Official Duke/UNC 2024/25 Thread (Final 4 or Bust for Both)

Carolina made that run by exploiting Duke’s help defense. Then in the second half they inexplicably tried to beat the help defense via the dribble. Most bizarre, ole Hubert never bothered to correct them

Caleb Foster and Maliq Brown won that game.

This Carolina team is horrible. I called it in early December. They’ll get bounced relatively early in the ACC tournament next week, and they’ll miss the NCAA tournament. Yet we will inexplicably be stuck with Hubert Davis for years, and Carolina will be even worse next year.

He doesent have a clue and is in way over his head. The only two things helping him are his ‘30 contact and there’s no block buster hire to be made.

Yeah I’m guessing the wine and cheese crowd in Chapel Hill wasn’t all that hospitable to the Flagg family.
They were not . They were not hospitable to anyone that I know that was there last night. I don’t expect hospitality, but a level of civility shouldn’t be too much to ask.

I would have been because sports aren’t my life and people deserve to be treated with respect.

I mean any Tar Heel fan should have known it was going to go the way it did. So save themselves the ‘embarrassment and take the loss and move on.

I was pretty surprised. When a guy I know is walking in the game and has several people, grown people, get in his face and say “f you” that’s kind of ridiculous. To have a lady in her 50’s or 60s who dressed the part of a big donor and sat in very expensive seats call my buddy an a$$hole bc he clapped on a Maliq Brown dunk is even worse tbh. I don’t get it. I’ve had people at UGA and Auburn do that to me, but I was a college student and they were young, so there’s a lot more stupidity that goes along with that age . If you’re a middle aged person or an AARP Rams Club member cursing at people not causing any sort of scene, that’s just kind of sad. We have fun on here and the UNC fans on here are cool, I have an overall high opinion of UNC fans, half my groomsmen went there, but I don’t feel like it used to be that way.

That’s uncalled for and embarassing. The rivalry is incredibly intense, but I’ve never personally encountered a lack of class shown by either fan base. I’ve always seen mutual respect amongst the fans.

Just saw that Duke rallied to beat GA Tech, but Cooper Flagg injured his ankle and is considered a "long-shot" to play in the ACC Semi-Final game per ESPN.

Carolina apparently decided to start the offseason at the 5:03 mark in the 1st half. That's some high quality coaching closing out the final 5 minutes of the first half on a 0-15 run.
